On Free Will and Destiny

.
Read again... and again.

And listen to the Surah again and again...

One.

And Only One is Eternal!
You have no idea how much I am in love with this Divine Poetry Of Allah these days.

Sometimes, you are looking for something Great, You search here and there and you don’t see what you already have.

We are blessed with this Book

I've tried looking at it from that perspective... But its too deep. And what I mean by this is that it cannot be verified by reality... For example if you were to talk about the "Soul" and I asked you, "show me what this soul is"? You wouldn't be able to do it.

And they ask you (O Muhammad SAW) concerning the Ruh (the Spirit); Say: "The Ruh (the Spirit): it is one of the things, the knowledge of which is only with my Lord. And of knowledge, you (mankind) have been given only a little." 17:85 surah Al-Isra

Sorry for deviating but a good solution to aging eyes is connecting the PC to large TV. I have it connected to my TV on the wall. This means I can relax on the sofa and use the keyboard. With TV being at least 12ft from me it does not place so much strain on the eyes.

Do you know the story behind this verse ?
People of Makkah as always objected over Prophet’s beliefs, Didn’t trust him. Prophet SA mentioned about rooh to them, They asked Him to Ask Allah about Rooh. I guess they were Jews or maybe others. Don’t remember

Why do I feel that I am blessed...that the ailments are now moving away...that I am in the company of my YoungPakBrothers wiser in knowledge yet younger in years... yes, I am blessed!

I find the following to clearly elaborate the SpecificationLimits of Freedom and Will.... and beatutifully also elaborates the Nature of Intent and How it matters.

Would require avid listening and openness ....with English translations for the keen student @Indus Pakistan @StormBreaker @H. Dawary

You have a good taste of reciters.
Surah Shuara of this guy is one of the best

A seed, each thought like a sapling grows in heart with branches and bears new fruit. Abraham(A.S.) sowed one just like that, one of Tavhid... concept of creator or more precisely, identifying, One. Here is the thought... in the sea of cause and effect... humanity sought it's benefactor(s)... perhaps Sun whose light and warmth showed it's effect all around... or fire or cow... so on and so forth. But, seed took generations to blossom... herein, lies the role of Prophets nurture that sapling... today it is a tree.

Human thought process seeks results... brain fills voids... cause must always culminate in a certain defined predictable result... No wonder then when Moses(A.S) in the company of Khizer(A.S.) couldn't help himself but show his unease over supposed outcomes of each action.

These are where theoretical meets practical...

Everything has a reason why... When an event occurs it must happen for a reason, even this thread, there was a reason as to why I began writing it, and there will be a reason why you will refuse to read further and a reason why you will read further.

There is a reason for everything, as the world is Cause & Effect, and if any person were to trace every cause down to its atomic structure therein will be cause, and a reason why it occurred, and it will be illuminated to the understand mind as to, why, if it were possible to investigate it...

This principle also applies to human beings, if for everything there is a cause and effect, then there is a reason as to why we do certain things and a reason as to why we don't. This brings us to the question of necessity, we recognise the necessity behind a ball touching the ground when it is let go off, taking into account gravity, mass etc. This simple cause and effect ratio is also apparent in human beings as each and every one of their actions there is that necessity also, but it is not realised due to the immediacy of the act.

Free will is a complicated affair... Do we have it or do we not? Take into question an athlete that shows up to a race track; Take this persons actions beforehand, there is the training process, the preparation, the application, the attendance to the race track. And finally as he is prepared, just when the ring blows, is there any shadow of a doubt that this person will change their mind at the sound of the ring? It is possible, but highly unlikely. Did this person possess any free-will? At some point this person may have when he was at a crossroads of reaching a decision in there might have been a semblance of free will, but as soon as the decision was made to become an athlete, everything thereafter was destiny.

Destiny is the result of a decision that is decided upon and every decision thereafter reflecting that decision that was made in the beginning.

Individually, each one of us is technically a free acting agent, but from afar and from a perspective, this is not the case. Although each one of us believes in being free, but as we have all each made a decision at some point we are only simply heading in the destined direction and are simply going through the process of cause and effect eventually reaching that destined point.
I take my life as walking on an automatic stair. One hand on railing, other hand free.
I didn't chose to come to this world. But then I chose many many things for which I had many other choices.
So my observation is : your whole journey is pre fixed. You choose small things along the journey, that decides for either jannat or jahanum.
