There are many hadiths which talk about the invalidity of the Hajj for people who undertook the venture in vain, or without being qualified for it. Your life has to be in absolute order for the Hajj to count. I'm no one to judge the validity of the Hajj but going against Islam is a no brainer...

You dont understand Muslims at all if you believe this.

Even before 1947, Muslims wouldn't marry Hindus or Sikhs unless they converted to Islam. Its not politics, its our teachings. Correct me if I'm wrong but even Hindus and Sikhs didnt marry outside their religion in the past, just in these past few decades they started marrying people from different faiths.

JAMMU, FEBRUARY 12 – An official spokesman has vehemently denied the news item carried by a newspaper suggesting that the Chief Minister has been denied visa to perform Umrah by the Saudi Government.

Describing the statement as malafide, concocted and baseless, the spokesman said that it is totally bereft of facts and a deliberate attempt at creating unnecessary misgivings. He said the report is imaginary in content and malafide in intent because Mr. Abdullah has not been ever denied visa by the Saudi Government.

The spokesman said it is unfortunate that some people are trying to launch a vicious campaign against the Chief Minister and a particular newspaper without verifying the facts has played into their hands.

The spokesman said Mr. Omar Abdullah performed Umrah along with his father, Dr. Farooq Abdullah on the 1st day of the holy month of Ramdhan i.e. 4th September, 2008 and stayed in the holy city of Makkah from 2nd to 5th September, 2008.

The spokesman said the Chief Minister intends to perform another Umrah after the conclusion of the forthcoming Assembly session.

The spokesman also termed it unfortunate that the particular newspaper has raked up a controversy where exists none quoting sources which seem to be a figment of imagination of the correspondent of the newspaper and are totally unsubstantiated.

The spokesman further said that the visit of Mr. Omar Abdullah with his family to Ajmer Sharief to pay homage to the great Sufi saint is purely a religious personal matter and the Chief Minister has been regularly visiting Ajmer Sharief in the past as well to pay his obeisance to the great Sufi saint.

SRINAGAR: The Saudi Arabia government has denied permission to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for performing the Umrah. His martial status has been cited the cause of denial.

Kashmir grand Mufti says Omar can not perform the Umrah and termed the decision of Saudi government as landmark decision.

Omar along with his father and former chief minister Dr Farooq Abdullah was scheduled to leave for Umrah this month. "He has not been allowed by the Saudi government," said senior government official.

According sources in the government the documents for his Umrah were sent to Saudi embassy and they informed the Omar they "You are barred" and his non- Muslim wife has been cited the reason. "The column in which Omar has written the status has been encircled," the source said. It needs a mention here that Omar's wife Payal belongs to Sikh dynasty.

It is an Islamic matter and I really don’t like to talk with non-Muslims (especially Hindus who are biased towards Islam by default) who do not have slightest clue of what they are talking about. By the same token, I dont like to put my nose in any other religion. But just to clarify another misconception here;

It is not purely political, it is not political at all. In Islam, the major purpose of marriage is the procreation of the offspring. Islam is a monotheist religion (like Judaism and Christianity). In Islam, every sin is forgivable except worshiping of more than one God. Monotheism or Tawhid is the foundation of Islam.

"Verily God forgives not setting up partners in worship with Him. But He forgives whom He pleases, sins other than that (shirk)" The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 4, Verse 116

"Verily whosoever sets up partners in worship with God, then God Has forbidden paradise for him and the fire will be his abode" The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 5, Verse 72

"And invoke not besides Allah any that will neither profit you nor hurt you, but if (in case) you did so, you shall certainly be one of the polytheists and wrong doers. It is well understood that a mother is the first learning institution of a child. If Muslims were allowed to marry with women from Polytheist religion, it would be counter productive for a Muslim child who would now get his first information on religion from a polytheist mother. In addition to that, there are all kinds of social problems associated with these marriages. That is why it is best to marry with a Muslim woman, than with the women of other monotheist religions.
