I think if Australia loses to Britain today and then Britain lose to Spain in the next set of games that would help out Pakistan's standing. Pakistan should at least tie with Australia in the next game.

Is there a chance that GB lose to Spain?? How good a team is Spain and GB?

GB is the better team but the difference isnt big. Spain is ranked 5th and England (who make up the bulk of the GB team) are ranked 4th. GB obviously have home advantage as well, so lets see. Inshallah Spain will win and Pakistan can draw but lets not get over the top with this win.

But the excitement remimded me of 1984 los angles olympics when we used to wake up at 2 in the night to watch Pakistan hockey matches..
Then sleep in the school....
Unlike today...in 1980s for school kuds waking up that late in the night was no easy feat...

Can't say about the 1980's but today, there was more excitement than I've ever seen with even many non-hockey followers watching the game today

Yes Pakistan is on equal points with Australia and GB, on 7 points. However the goal difference is in GB and especially in Australias favour. Australia are now playing GB in a short while. Hopefully Australia will win heavily bringing down GB's goal difference. Then Pakistan need to win over Austrlia somehow.

Alternatively, if Australia win over GB and then draw with Pakistan, and GB following their Australa game lose to Spain, then Pakistan goes through as well.
