Olama-Mashayekh to rally for Jamaat ban

Where is hammerfist now days..... Indians must have contracted him temporarily.....

Seriously that dude always made me laugh..... Reminds me of saddam husains PR guy who was claiming everything is under control as Americans entered baghdad.... In face of fact some courageously stand..... Somehow although entirely misguided there is something noble about that....

Yes need proof and what is jamat's problem with Islam. Why they want to kill mainstream Islamic ppl.

Since when did the rawami terrorists get the authority to decide who are the mainstream Islamists and who are not?

you know Bangladesh got 400000 mosques, Dhaka is called city of mosque. we dont need to offer prayer on road. they went there for protesting... you saw egyptians praying on tahrir square, didnt you??

Prove that they're offering prayers to protect Jammat, and not for peace in Bangladesh?

@kobiraaz u make me laugh. Two gatering has same agenda.
Which goes in our favor. 5 or 10 blogger get ditention thats not a problem.
But they are not in favor of jamat and says jamat defame Islam.
So gov can divert this ppl in our favor. But apart from this they are most dumb ppl.
They want action against nastic bloggers which doesnt make any sense.
Means that anyone who doesnt follow Islam they will take action against them.
Moral is Islam andolon can be our and hefajot is ur. As hefajot has little support
and most of them are from jamat ally.

Islami Andolan says Jamaat ‘defaming’ Islam

The Islami Andolan on Friday accused the Jamaat-e-Islami of ‘defaming Islam’ and said the outfit, which opposed Bangladesh’s independence, had an ‘impaired view’ of the religion.

Addressing a rally at the capital’s Motijheel Shapla Intersection, Secretary General of Islami Andolan Prof Maulana Yunus Ahmad said supporting the Jamaat was like ‘siding with the wrong’.

The rally was held to press for the party’s five-point charter of demands.

Speakers at the rally said the Jamaat-e-Islami was a big threat to the nation and its independence.

Maulana Yunus Ahmad said the party believed in ‘Moududi' theory. “This theory cannot even explain Islam properly. That’s why campaign of Islam based on this theory must be stopped.”

“Jamaat and Shibir are creating anarchy across the country, while the other parties are getting the blame. This is defamation of Islam. That’s why they must be resisted,” he said.

The rally kicked off at 2pm with Islami Andolan chief Syed Rezaul Karim alias Chormonai Pir presiding over the public meeting. Closure of roads because of the rally led to traffic snarls on the routes leading to Motijheel.

Motijheel Police Station OC Hayatuzzaman said the rally organisers had assured police that no untoward incidents would take place. “That’s why they were permitted to hold the rally.”

But the roads were closed considering security issues, he added.

Islami Andolan demands arrest of atheists, blashphemy law

DHAKA, MAR 29: Islami Andolon Bangladesh (IAB) on Friday threatened to lay seige at the Prime Minister's Office on April 25 demanding arrest of atheist bloggers and enactment of a blasphemy law for punishment to those insulting Islam. Announcing the seige programme at a grand rally in Dhaka, IAB Ameer Mufti Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim also extended his support to the April 6 Dhaka-bound long march of Hefazat-e-Islam for the arrest the atheist bloggers and their punishment.

The Hefazat-e-Islam, a Qaumi Madrasah-based organisation, issued the call for the long march towards Dhaka pressing for its demand for actions against the self-confessed atheists who made defamatory comments on Allah, the Prophet and Islam.
Syed Rezaul Karim, also known as the "Charmonair Peer," who chaired the mammoth rally, said his party would submit a memorandum to the United Nations Office in Dhaka demanding an end to Muslim genocide in Myanmar.

He also declared that the Islami Andolon Bangladesh would start a long march towards Myanmar on May 8 and 9 protesting what he called "Muslim massacre" and torching of mosques, madrasahs and houses of Muslims in Myanmar.
The IAB Ameer also announced three road march programmes to drum up support for implementation of his party's five-point demands and holding a rally in Dhaka on May 1 to mark the May Day.

As part of the programme, the IAB will organise road march from Dhaka to Kuakata on April 19-21, Dhaka to Tetulia on May 13-15 and Dhaka to Sylhet on June 2-3.The five-point demands of the IAB include enacting blasphemy law, restoration of caretaker government to conduct the upcoming general elections, restoration of full trust and belief in Allah in the basic principles of the Constitution, establishing justice and rule of law and ensuring sustainable peace and freedom of humanity in the country.

Hundreds of thousands of IAB workers and supporters from all over the country started pouring into the venue right since morning. Motijheel to Ittefaq intersection, Notre Dam College, Dainik Bangla intersection and Purana Paltan and their adjacent areas were over flown with the participants when the rally formally kicked off following the Friday prayer.

Covering their heads with caps and turbans, thousands of IAB activists were found to be using hand fans for temporary relief from scorching heat, and holding up election symbol of the party in an apparent signal of their participation in the next election.
Addressing the rally, the Charmonair peer accused the post independence governments of turning the country into a bottomless state.

He alleged that the country turned into a safe haven for corruption and law enforcers are being used for narrow political ends.“Corruption in humanitarian sectors took an epidemic form…share market, Hallmark and Padma Bridge scandals broke the spinal cord of our economy. Foreigners are losing their interest to invest in the country,” he added.

They are not against awami or against gov they just demanding some of their agendas. They are not with jamat.
What they demanded now u are trying to twist that too. Read the bold parts carefully.

IAB to support Hefajat’s ‘Dhaka siege’

Islami Andolan Bangladesh on Friday said it would extend support to the ‘Dhaka siege’ programme called by Hefajat-e-Islam for
April 6, if the government did not arrest the ‘atheist’ bloggers of Shahbagh by April 5.

IAB amir Syed Rezaul Karim, better known as Pir Saheb of Charmonai, made the announcement at a ‘grand rally’ of the party at the
capital’s Motijheel Shapla roundabout on Friday.
The rally demanded formulation of an anti-blasphemy act to punish the ‘atheists’.
IAB organised the rally to push its five-point demand that included restoration of the phrase ‘absolute faith and trust in Almighty Allah’ in the constitution, holding of the next general election under a non-partisan government, an end to violence and terrorism and introduction of an ‘Islamic constitution’.
The IAB amir announced that they would besiege the Prime Minister’s Office on April 25 demanding enactment of a law for punishment of those who were maligning Islam as well as arrest of the ‘atheist’ bloggers.
They will submit a memorandum to the office of the United Nations in Dhaka on April 4 in demand of stopping the killing of Muslims in Myanmar and vowed to start a ‘long march’ towards Myanmar on May 8 in protest at the mass killings and burning of mosques, madrassahs and houses of Muslims in that country.
The IAB long marches will start from Dhaka to Kuakata on April 19, 20 and 21, from Dhaka to Tentulia on May 13, 14 and 15 and from Dhaka to Sylhet on June 2 and 3. They will hold a worker’s rally in Dhaka on May 1 to mobilise public support for its five-point demand.
The IAB amir said some people had been making ‘derogatory’ remarks on Islam and the Prophet (SM) as the government remained ‘silent’. The government has been behaving like ‘autocrats’ and pursuing a policy of ‘oppression’ on opposition parties in the name of democracy, he added.
He also criticised the opposition for boycotting parliament while enjoying all facilities and privileges of parliamentary democracy.
Other IAB leaders censured Jamaat-e-Islami for opposing the liberation war and defaming Islam. They said the doctrine of Jamaat founder Maulana Maududi did not represent true Islam.
IAB secretary general Maulana Yunus Ahmad said they would work with Jamaat-e-Islami, if it gave up its founder’s doctrine at an open press conference.

The rally was also addressed by IAB Dhaka city unit amir ATM Hemayet Uddin, presidium members Nurul Huda Fayezi and Fayzul Karim.
Several thousand followers of Charmonai Pir Saheb joined the rally.

Please, for the love of God; don't say TDS is a Jamaati propaganda source...

Comprehension problems much? What is so special about TV?

I said it is biased, never said it's not credible. Understand the difference.

It is about these smaller Islamic parties that I've warned about before. And they do not have any links with Jamaat either. This issue has nothing to do with Jamaat.

Ugh....this childish obsession over Jamaat is getting really ridiculous and results in nothing more than verbal gibberish.

Another day in Bangladesh Defense....
