What's new

OIC Peacekeeping Forces needed.

OIC......another tea & biscuit organization.

If there's no unity, then I do not see any solution for the matter. Would there be any scope of sending OIC peacekeepers into Gaza?

.
Read my comment ones more. I was talking about non-muslims in muslim countries.

Of Course if an event like Boko Haram takes place and if the member state wants intervention, they would have it.

. .
Not realistic.

The rich, prosperous and safe Muslim countries are not willing to risk all that just to act like a "global Islamic police". The idea is a good and noble one but I do not thing that it is realistic one right now at least.

The Muslim world has so many problems that it is not funny anymore but rather highly tragicomical.

The Muslim world needs something like EU or NATO instead.

You build a NATO today, you get everyone pissed off. You know those who want to keep us under the foot and those who hope to ;)

You build a small force - built it slowly, keep adding capabilities as threats come on board, eventually you will have an OIC NATO with no one complaining and without drawing too much attention.

Start small and think big is what elders have said!

i consider OIC as a useless organization it has done nothing for Iraq IRan Libya Syria and Palestine
all most all of them love west and USA
dont expect nothing much from then all they do bla bla if u dont listen to them ur kicked out

That's what I was alluding to. It's like when Arabs talk about uniting the entire Arab world again and becoming a superpower again. Like USA, the West, China etc. would allow such a thing to happen.
Then imagine the entire Muslim world?!

I think it is about time to speak with big words and not do lip-service anymore otherwise nobody will take any Muslims seriously.

Right now it's just not realistic at all. So much bad is happening in the Muslim world. From Burma to Mali.

But trying never hurts.;)

Non-Muslims have no probems in my country, they are equal to Muslims,so whats your point?

I heard a rumor that the Turkish State forces Turkish Citizens to support Galatasaray ! :o:

Even if majority of the Turks like @xenon54 & @Sinan are die-hard Fenerbahce fans like me ! :smokin:

Though of course the both of them would deny it because Mrs.Xenon & Mrs.Sinan are both die-hard Gala fans & they don't tolerate any other club being supported in the household ! :fie:

@Aeronaut

Read this carefully please.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You know when such organizations should be put in place de facto and not just de jure (nice cosy coffee shops that they are today)?

When the Muslim world goes through what Europe/the West did go through after WW1 and WW2 were 80 million perished. After those devastating wars (the most devastating to this day in world history) and after centuries of infighting in Europe the Europeans decided to cooperate rather than to fight each other. So they started mutual economic, military, political etc. organizations. They basically needed to hit rock bottom before they realized that they were on a wrong path and before they could change for real instead of just talking like the Muslim world is doing today. This way all those political, social etc. changes occurred.

Tell me when has this happened in the Muslim world? The question is never and that's why we see all those social, political etc. problems.

Drastic changes are needed.

How can anyone take all those Muslim organizations (current ones) seriously when the Muslim world never made those necessary steps I allude to?

It's like attempting to built a house without the fundament and when it crashes you are left wondering; "How did that happen when I did everything right."? You did everything wrong but never was aware of this. Or you were but just decided to ignore it which is even worse.

Basically that's the current state of the Muslim world. A new fundament needs to be built. A strong and powerful one. Unless that does not happen then nothing will change. Trying to built over a already broken fundament TIME and TIME again is something only idiots do. You see most of us Muslims of today are incompetent idiots. That's the reality.

My quick two cents.

What is up to "Muslim World" today ?

@al-Hasani - Make me the President of all Muslim Countries & be done with once & for all ! :coffee:

I'd keep you Arabs in check by ensuring that all that Oil doesn't clog your arteries !

I'd keep the Iranians in check by ensuring that they don't attempt to take-over the world through their absolutely delightful & juicy dates ! :enjoy:

I'd keep the Turks in check by ensuring that I focus their attention on Gala vs Fener matches ! :yahoo:

And in the meantime I'd ensure that Pakistanis - as the rightful heirs of the Muslim Empires of the past - get all the top positions ! :smokin:

They have no choice they are dominated by the Galatasaray women.
Think of how the men are when the women are that powerful?

See @T-123456 @xenon54 @Cuneyt Arkin - Mrs.Sinan has brainwashed this poor fellow so much that even in the virtual world he says 'I support Galatasaray' 'cause the disciplining that Mrs.Sinan gave him the last time still haunts him - Get well soon Brother....get well soon ! :(

@Aeronaut

Sticking one's head out and making oneself a superstar isn't a good idea. In fact, one may lose the head for that matter.

Suppose, OIC magically agrees and unites, and sends peacekeepers in Iraq (suppose).

ISIS would perceive them as servants of the West, and would merely boost their determination. Who knows? They may be right. How many a times have Muslim leaders sold out their nations to become hopelessly dependent on non-Muslim powers?

And even if I do the work, for whom would I do that work for? Where would my tax money go?

Yes, something is needed to be done about those nutjobs, but so are the problems in the Muslim-nations.

In my opinion, set up a private force, with its own funding and research with no involvement of any state whatsoever.

This is similar to the ISIS model, but with a very different vision. One that is a level ahead of the rest in terms of technology and money. Something unique, something different.

With tactics of stealth and espionage, no one will ever know, and life will go on for others like as if nothing happened. Models like NATO are predictable.
