OIC Peace Keeping Force for maintaining peace in majority Muslim countries

.
http://www.defence.pk/forums/world-...ace-keeping-force-oicpf-deployment-syria.html

The above is an old thread created by me. It will be good to revisit this issue with some new inputs:

- OICPKF initial core should be formed with retired and serving armed forces personnel from the willing Muslim countries such as GCC, Indonesia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Turkey, Egypt and Iran
- young new recruits will be trained under experienced personnel
- the invite should be expanded to all OIC member countries
- countries that come forward and contribute the most with skilled man power, should be given employment preference in sourcing migrant labor in Gulf and other Muslim countries (those who do not contribute as much, may loose out and get shut out of general job opportunities in Gulf and other Muslim countries such as Malaysia)
- OICPKF will be deployed in majority Muslim countries, whenever there is a breakdown in state function and a peacekeeping force is needed to enforce peace among multiple fighting sides
- eventually there will be intelligence and covert section of this force that will function side by side with regular armed forces

I can think of the following countries where they can be deployed immediately - Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Somalia and Mali.

The mission of OICPKF will be to deploy in large numbers, overwhelm any armed resistance by any competing faction in the country, bring peace, hold elections and create democratic institutions and stay as long as needed to create a functioning democracy, where conflict is resolved by votes rather than by violence. If countries need to be partitioned due to popular will of the people by referendum, then the partition will also be supervised by OICPKF.

@kalu_miah...You are a great asset for PDF(Believe me,I am not sarcastic)...You always come up with new kind of ideas and this is very well presented...In my next post....I will go through your write up and I will start countering your argument as usual....

The GCC is looking at the Syrian conflict from an Arab lens. And the OIC is pretty much hibernating so a peace-keeping force is unlikely.

.
OIC has good weight till King Faisal and Bhutto live , after these people its not more then rubber stamp . But Pakistan is the biggest loser in Muslim Ummah scenario .

.
Please be specific. I have already mentioned some operational details:

There are some basic questions that Islamic world should ask themselves before talking about unity.

1- Who requires a unity or union? Always weak people or weak nation strive for union and strong nation go for union so as to influence other nations. Take for example of OIC, without a strong backing of Gulf world or Petroleum producing nations, any union of rest of the Islamic nation does not have any value. The reason is pretty evident....You have to be independent of your resources and the capacity of your nation is self sustainable so that you can influence others....Gulf nation will not get any advnatage by associating themselves with other Islamic nations which are always economically backward than the Gulf/Arab nations..... See for example BD, Pak and other Muslim nations may require SA and Gulf but the reverse is not necessary true....

Rather than being associated with other Islamic nation who anyway depend oh Gulf nation with or with out making any union, Gulf will prefer making pact with Western world so that they can learn new technology and they can lot of other things that no one else can provide it to them....That is why inspite of so much of -ve publicity about West in Muslim world, honestly Gulf nations are the biggest supporter and partner of the West at the diplomatic level...This is the reality of today....

SO the bottonline is that every nation has to develop and make themselves valuable so that other nation will beg to have relation with you....Think about your nation itself.....Your nation has lot of good attribute for which West and other nation is coming forward to have a relation with you....If your nation do not have any attribute, based on religion alone even Saudi Arab will also not not give a look towards your nation. That is why in spite of OIC is such a global union, but its influence on world diplomacy is very limited....With the basis of religion alone, you can not decide your destiny...If this is the case then all the Christian nations should have been united to have a one army and one nation.....

. . .
Please ask relevant questions. Who is saying I am going in to save anyone? It is a human problem, the world is standing by and watching a massacre take place, 100,000 people are dead and some are happy that Muslims are dying fighting each other and yes this includes West, Chinese and Hindus. So we need to solve our own problems:
BBC News - UN says Syria refugee crisis worst since Rwanda

Come on dude....how come Hindu's are related any way to Syrian conflict...I mean...you can easily avoid us at least in Syria Conflict...

.
Quite optimistic but the reality is quite unfortunate. Those who know it are even to afraid to speak it..

Dear sir, you have some confusing ideas going on here, let me explain:

1. association is not union, OIC is a club or mainly Muslim majority nations, it is perhaps seeking unity to act in unison for some specific causes, like poverty alleviation, tackling Islamophobia etc. I am hoping that a OICPKF will be one of new issues that will be taken up to solve existing and future problems in failed states. This is not union, GCC and Arab League or African Union, are bona fide real or potential unions with possibilities of integration. You should review my many road map and + threads for that, they are listed below. Here is OIC website that lists its many existing functions:
OIC

2. So in brief, I am not calling for a OIC based union, just an additional function of OICPKF under an existing and functioning org OIC, just like the many functions it already carries on, granted that this will possibly be a much bigger function than any other functions or challenges it has taken up so far

3. My regional ideas are not religion based, but rather based on geopolitical real politik:

.
If they stop funding terrorism then peace will come without any useless peacekeeping forces.

.
OIC is a dead organization, Saudis are simply not interested in running it.

OICPKF is an old idea, but it wont materialize.

Well, I would say it depends. Iran is on its way to get nukes. Will Israel be able to successfully eliminate them?

Eventually if Iran gets nukes and delivery mechanism and if Assad can survive til then, the fate will be sealed for Iraq, Syria and Lebanon. Can GCC countries afford that scenario? Will Pakistan provide nuke shield to GCC countries? Will Pakistan point its nukes towards Iran if Iran provides nuke shields to Iraq, Lebanon and Asad led Syria?

I think GCC countries have a few years window before that scenario emerging. And something has to be done to settle issues in Iraq (partition with referendum?), Syria (removal of Assad and a democratic functioning state in place), Lebanon (dismantling of Hezbollah).

OICPKF is a way for the GCC countries to bring peace in these countries, yes some countries will not agree, as their factions may lose, but the world will agree to more peace and less fighting and killing.

So what is the problem, countries will not provide soldiers to die? Well, whoever will, will get preference in employment. So that is the incentive and there might some coercive elements present there as well. No soldiers in OICPKF, no jobs.

I am hoping that GCC countries will use whatever leverage they have on OIC member countries, to find a way to stop this killing and bring peace, OICPKF is one possible option. And I think GCC have every motivation to do it.

Sorry for stating the unvarnished truth, what it is, is what it is. I do not blame people for not caring. After all Muslims have bothered all major communities of the world, so it is only natural.
