If having a 5th or "n"th generation of aircraft ever becomes a priority for Iran then Iranians "will eat grass" to make it themselves..I am sure Pakistani members can relate to that..

I also like to thank Russia and China for not selling any aircraft to Iran..the only way for Iran to have her own top of the line aircraft is to walk the hard road and make it herself (they are half way there by Kowsar )....no need to sign a cheque and stand on a tarmac and admire other people's inventions ....Elephant walk your own handy work rather than others..

S-400 makes zero sense considering Iran’s S-300 was a customized system using S-400 production parts.

If report said S-500, I would say that is plausible given the access to longer range missile technology and ECW tech iran would have access to for its own program.

Either way chances of either SU-35 or S-500 arriving in Iran is remote.
