Obama stae of the union speach

starts with WOT...shows how much they are obsessed with this blood bath...

goes on to talk about Iraq..saying that the returned soldiers should help build the country.
The whole congress cheers the alleged death of OBL.
Then talks about economy.Saying that we will create jobs by reviving manufacturing sector and will limit outsourcing abroad.
Then talks a bit about energy sector.
Then back to the war machine and international policing.
Talks about Al qaeda again andsays that they are on the run in pakistan,and other countries and that USA will keep pressure on al qaeda..or in plain language drone strikes will continue.

Then talks about Iran...saying that USA will not hold any options to stop Iran from attaining nuclear weapons and that Israel's security is ametica's responsibility...says it and the whole congress rises and claps...

Then talks about creating spevial jobs for war veterans.
Lastly talks about unity among all americans and to work together to build america.

I don't understand how the US gov't can prevent outsourcing of jobs; that's a private matter. If Congress is dumb enough to legislate outsourcing jobs then expect a mass exodus of multi-national corps from the US resulting in more job loss.

we have been hearing this noise around outsourcing since 2003-2004, specially during the election season.. Pay no attention..

That only targets the companies that create subsidiaries in low cost countries like India and China and move work there.. The companies that offshore/outsource to 3rd party companies in these countries do not get impacted by this ..

Other than that ...i am happy he finally smelled the coffee...and talked against reliance on banks for generating revenue and talked in favour of manufacturing sector....
banks have made minced meat of world economy and grown too powerful by acvumulating wealth and are the main culprits behind global financial gloom.

The governor of illinois just finished his answer from opposition to the presidential speach.
He did not say anything new apart from safeguarding social security and welfare system ... Obama didnt talk much about this.
