Ever since Modi's Hindu nationalist govt, there is a sense of alienation in minorities as reports filed from India suggest.

A certain point about religion based genocide was made and some Indian with US flags said his smart money will be on Pakistan.

Well smart-as*, there had been a genocide under Modi when was a CM. This was not in the 19th century, it was in modern day, 'secular' India. Not just that, there had been several anti-Muslim pogroms before as well.

The point is India has waste swathes of land under illiteracy and poverty. Its them who are most likely affected by religious bigotry. Every religious nut case organization starts from the elite, people who think they are a gift of God to their religion and they must expand it. I have Brahman friends, from the very close to the top in India, from BJP and other elites. One of these guys is Anurag, known him for over a decade. Hi dad is a gen. in IA. So I get this stuff first handed. You can play stupid on here but no one's a child. The problem isn't with the country called "India" as majority of you would by default call me or others talking about this religious nut case issue, the problem is the risk of genocide like the one Hitler did. When your national leaders in the government talk about "India will be a 100% Hindu country by X date", that is where the problem is. The fact that any Hindu religious organizations now have the official support of the Indian government, is dangerous and cause hundreds to be killed. That is the issue, India needs to do more to safe guard it's minorities.

Whether what the Chinese say or the Pakistanis say or the Russians say about anything else, is a separate issue. Putting millions of minorities at risk because the big Hindu guys are in power, is wrong. Every government should protect its citizens, irrespective of race, religion and color.

Any organization is made up different types of people with different views , i don't deny the fact that a lot of hindus have a problem with growing muslim population you will have to look whats happening around the world to know those concerns are genuine . However most of us would also want that we find a safe solution for this which doesn't hurt anyone.

And no top BJP leader ever made such statements that india will be hindu 100% by x date , such comments were made by some fringe elements bcz they have based their political career on hindutva & their votebank consists of hindutvadis .

Mangalore: Weeds within - Seven Arrested for Damaging Church Property

Mangalore, Mar 19:In connection with indulging in rampage in a banana plantation belonging to Babbukatte Nityadhar Church and trying to disrupt peace in the region, Ullal policemen arrested seven persons on Wednesday March 18.

They are Jayson Verghese (23), Vijit Sunny Rozario (21), Araki Alfred (20), Roshan Cutinho (26), all from Nityadhar Nagar and Ronald Roshan (22), a resident of Kuttar Prakash Nagar. They were produced in the court on Wednesday. omghaha:damaging their own property to get sympathy )

On Monday morning, the banana plantation was found to have been damaged heavily to look as if people belonging to a particular community had barged into the plantation, and a saffron flag had been planted there, signifying that Hindu outfits had been involved with the destruction. The incident took place at a time when Hindu Samajotsav was being organized in the city.

The policemen said that during interrogation, the arrested persons revealed, they wanted to disturb the peace in the region by projecting the incident as a handiwork of a particular community.

While making inquiries about those who inflicted the above damage, the policemen could by chance, lay their hands on the two accused, who had burnt down a motor bike on November 30 near Pandit House. Joy D'Souza (20) and Calvin Johnson D'Souza, from Nityadhar Nagar, accused of this act, were arrested and produced in the court on Wednesday. The policemen are also looking at the possibility of these two having been also involved with the destruction of the banana plantation.

Under the guidance of the city rural inspector Lingappa Poojary, Ullal sub-inspector of police Shivprakash has been conducting investigation.
