For years Pakistan has been publically abused by US, this is not how an ally or a friendly nation behave. They lack total respect for you, give them middle finger till trump publically apologizes and visits Pakistan and US media is instructed to promote Pakistan.

For decades ...... Pakistan remains(ed) deprived of people who knew how to talk to or deal with Americans. Pakistan planned to double the NATO supply route charges or more than that and then, cuts military/intel support to US; actually put some sense into day dreamers. Trump merely led the way to test waters and produce a pressure though the rest of team remained in favour of allying Pakistan that validates how D.C plays hot & cold approach only to achieve own interest in the end.

Recently, White House threatened Pakistan to use an indirect weapon (IMF) against us for which, in my opinion, Pakistan needs to actively involve with all other parties opposing US for its duplicitous yet anti-Peace drives; to call upon their investments and remind US of her debits to other nations.

Let's repeat the obvious one more time; Pakistan will not compromise on its security in Afghanistan. If it has relationship with Afghan fractions, it will keep them.

The only question we have is: Should Pakistan be provide its limited support to Americans for their sustenance in Afghanistan?

If Americans will beef up Pakistan with military support and funds, answer may be yes - and in case Americans stop supporting Pakistan, Pakistan will stop supporting Americans - no brainer. In any case - Pakistan will not give up its power fraction in Afghanistan. It tried in Musharaf's era and suffered for 15 years losing 70,000 people - and this ain't no go happen another time.

Pakistan can mange Afghanistan with or without Americans - but Americans cannot manage Afghanistan if Pakistan withdraws its support. More than Pakistan, Americans should be worried about this situation.

I'm not a Pakistani, but I think that it is okay for me to post in here, as I'm not opposing Pakistan or want to troll here.

I think I agree with you, Eagle. Trump merely to test the water and produce a pressure to Pakistan. I think the reason is because they (US) feel that their strategic position in South Asia is being threatened by the recent events. Like the cooperation of China - Iran - Pakistan. So I think that Pakistan should be aware and carefully respond to this threat. Because as always US is a master of bringing chaos to a region. They will do everything they could to jeopardized Chinese plan in the region (the Pakistan - Iran - China cooperation). And they won't stop just with Trump tweeting or on table meeting. Specially when there is a wild horse like India that also oppose China and Pakistan.
