Days ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s planned visit to Russia, the government on Thursday gave its go-ahead for the acquisition of the S-400 Triumf air defence missile systems from Russia.
The Rs 39,000-crore deal can turn out to be a game changer for the India’s defence system against any sort of airstrike as it can destroy any incoming hostile aircraft, stealth fighters, missiles and drones at ranges of up to 400 km.

The deal, which was sanctioned by the defence acquisitions council (DAC) headed by the Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, will give India an edge over the hostile neighbours in terms of air defence.

Under the deal, India is expected to get five air defence missile systems. Three of the systems are likely to be deployed in west (read Pakistan) and two in the east (read China) to counter the threat from neighbouring countries

Now no need to fear from Chinese or Pakistani missiles

1 Pantsir-S battalion = 6 launchers
Each Pantsir-S launcher has 12 missiles RTF and 12 for reload

1 regiment = 4 S400 Battalion = 4 Pantsir Battalion = 4*144=576 missiles

So 1 full S400 regiment has 512 + 576 = 1088 Missiles in total comprising of 544 RTF and 544 reloads

Based on Indian News of 5 Systems (read regiments)
So 5 full Regiments = 5440 missiles (RTF+ Reloads)
Spare missiles = 560 missiles

Every missile has Pakistani f 16 ,jf 17 name written on it good luck

During the last operation in Gaza Hamas fired 4594 missiles and mortars only 16 hit their targets and kill only 5 innocent civilians, most of the hitting and the killing are from mortars the success rate of iron dome is about 90-92% .you can't get 100%no matter what you do.
Israeli anti-missile systems are the most advanced and battle proven.
It seems like you don't want to accept the fact that Israel is a world leader in many areas,please stick to the truth.

I guess you forgot chinese there mate. If you use all on a small military like pakistan then china will be right on your arse. There is a reason india is scared of a two front war. Even patriot missile is accounted for 70-80% accuracy. 400km range is only usefull if radar pick it up at that range. At low attitudes it is easy to evade such systems. Also there is a reason we have anti radiation missiles in our inventory. Also cruise missiles are not mentioned in the news which should tell you the story.

Something grandads make to impress their 10 year old grand kids. They can barely climb 50 meters at 20 mph......lol. I could knock them out with a cricket ball at a 99% success rate. is the aad even operational in that area? the barak-er is a naval based sam, not land based

Chances of india pakistan war is also zero to none. Anyoe who thinks otherwise is an idiot. No air defense system is perfect enough and AAD mate i wont even talk about it. If your local systems were so perfect then you wouldnt be buying barak and S 400 in the first place. Anyways like other systems they will also rust away as after Nuclear tests that possibility of war has died forever.
