The J10 is indeed the pride of the Plaaf---. It is their go to aircraft and one thing was sure---they would put their money into it to make it the best possible aircraft that they can build---.

Paf just could have tagged along for the ride---and in the end would have had a very capable medium weight fighter aircraft---.

Seems to me that we are replacing every single platform in our airforce with the JF17s. Which is not a healthy signs. I don't see any serious effort by our airforce to procure a new fighter in the near future. Project Azm is a decade away and we need a 4.5 to 5th gen aircraft to fill in for the short term. Even though J10B/C seems to have become a highly potent aircraft, I doubt the airforce will go for them. What we need is a couple squadrons of SU35s for the coastal role. Particularly because of the double engines.

j10c doesnot have enough range yet. + all the technologocalt advantages of j0B are already in jft block 3. so a part from TVC and heavier payload there is not advantage + less range is disadvantage

If we were to ask - and if they had the time - they'd probably make an engine of the type for the JF-17. They certainly are capable of doing it.

TVC can be made to fit JFT current engine if PAF want.

J-10C with TVC have potential to take up role of Mirages in PAF and they will be better option to do that then JFT if no other non 5th gen option is available.

J-10 has more payload capacity then JF-17 also has more range then JF-17 checks your stats again and it can carry Babur under the belly as well while JF17 can't

It's about replacing mirages
