North Korea US Tension - News & Discussion

USA needs a war after a break of few years its history how their factories keep running and shedding the innocent blood USA citizen should stop this bull mentality

. .
US is very strong, but has many commitments all over the world. There is 1 thing i find common in all US wars gone wrong- underestimation of the enemy. Because Syria got slapped and took it doesnt mean every country that gets slapped will take it.

.
News is circulating that US has tested a nuclear weapon in Nevada.

NK should not consider a nuclear test. Trump administration seems to be willing to teach this state a lesson.
Good, time to teach a lesson to these commies. This kim guy is pretty arrogant always threatening to nuke south Korea usa etc This guy doesn't give a shit about the safety of his own citizens. Trump has the balls to go after this prick. Kim should understand that he is not dealing with Obama. If kim consider himself as bully than Trump is bigger bully than him. I can't wait to see that fat b***ard hanged by his balls.

Korean Peninsula restraint urged
By Li Xiaokun | China Daily | Updated: 2017-04-15

Beijing urged Washington, Seoul and Pyongyang on Friday to stop irritating and threatening each other to prevent the situation on the Korean Peninsula from sliding to the point of being irreparable.

"There has been heightened tension between the United States, the Republic of Korea and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. The precarious situation deserves our attention and concern," Foreign Minister Wang Yi said during a joint news conference with his visiting French counterpart, Jean-Marc Ayrault.

"We urge all parties to refrain from inflammatory or threatening statements and deeds to prevent the situation on the Korean Peninsula from becoming irreversible."

"Once a war really happens, the result will be nothing but loss all around. No one can become a winner," Wang said.

He added that "no matter who it is, if it wants to make war or trouble on the Korean Peninsula, it must take the historical responsibility and pay the due price".

Wang said China would be willing to help facilitate efforts by the sides to reach out to each other in whatever form.

DPRK Vice-Foreign Minister Han Song-ryol told the Associated Press in Pyongyang on Friday, "We will go to war" if the US chooses to provoke it.

He said the US is making trouble in the region, noting that the US has moved an aircraft carrier into the region and has participated in its largest-ever joint military exercises with the ROK.

Han added that Pyongyang will continue developing its nuclear program and conduct its next nuclear test whenever its leaders see fit. Pyongyang has launched several ballistic missiles recently.

In the ROK, Yonhap News Agency said on Friday that the DPRK might hold its largest military parade in history on Saturday, the anniversary of the birthday of former leader Kim Il-sung, or on April 25, when its Army will mark its anniversary.

Some new advanced weapons, including intercontinental ballistic missiles, might show up, Yonhap said.

Wang Junsheng, an Asia-Pacific studies researcher at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, said risks of conflicts on the Korean Peninsula are "higher than at any time in recent years".

"Both Washington and Pyongyang are very harsh and show no signs of stepping back. And Trump has felt urgency to push on the issue," he said.

He said Foreign Minister Wang's remarks on Friday showed China's sincerity in pushing for a dialogue in any form.

At Friday's news conference, Wang Yi also said China is optimistic about the future of Beijing's relations with Paris, no matter which candidate wins the coming presidential election in France, since keeping good relations with China has been a mainstream consensus in all walks of French society. Ayrault said his decision to visit China before the election aims to emphasize the importance and the firmness of the bilateral partnership. The first round of voting will start on April 23.

He also vowed to take measures to ensure security of Chinese tourists and citizens living in France, following the death of a Chinese national who was shot by a policeman at his home in Paris in late March.

China's national airline, Air China, has canceled some flights from Beijing to Pyongyang due to poor demand, but it has not suspended all flights there, it said on Friday night, denying a report by Chinese state broadcaster CCTV.

CCTV had reported that all flights run by the airline between the two cities were to be suspended indefinitely.

Air China said subsequent flights would be scheduled according to ticket sales.

Foreign Minister Wang Yi shakes hands with French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault after a joint news conference at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Beijing on Friday.

At times it is difficult to distinguish Pyongyang's rhetoric from that of Washington. Two mad regimes, hence, precarious situation.

The problem is that SK might suffer a lot if war breaks out, NK is a huge dugged-in army, it won't be easy even for the US to dislodge it with these huge "mother of all bombs" and other sophisticated weapons.. NK will make sure to destroy at least Seoul the capital of SK, and that is already too much to bear..

SK really is the driving force for concern by the US and the UN. This is where it all began and has led to this as we all know. I think, at least it seems to me that there is a sense of selective amnesia (not suggesting on your part, but by many) with regards to why there is huge concern and where it originated from. People seem to dismiss the fact that it was North Korea that invaded the south in 1950 to unify it under one, communist state. The UN and US stepped in for the South as China and the Soviet Union for the North and we all know what the outcome of that was. By 1953, the border lines were unchanged at the 38th parallel. The same, basic principal in Vietnam except the US did lose the actual war and Vietnam was unified under the North's communist regime but strategically, the war achieved results beyond Vietnam by halting other ambitions of spreading communism. Point being, there is considerable concern that leaders as provocative and isolated as Kim and his father have been since the Korean war and the fact that the the South and North are still, effectively, in a state of war while the north keeps threatening with nuclear testing is a huge concern for the entire world. These weapons need to be in stable hands and not in ones that exhibit antagonism and defiance. It also puts a lot of pressure on China as its role becomes that of a parent with a rebellious child.

NK has 60 submarine that can pose a threat (in case of war) to some vessels of the US, SK and Japanese navies in the Area.. Also the North Koreans are so indoctrinated that Kamikaze will look like a kid compared to them, they have often went on suicide missions into SK, and even when caught they gave a very tough fight till death, they were very rare instances where some were taken alive.. this is just to give an Idea of what kind of fight they might give and are capable of..

I don't deny that they have a lot of fight in them, but let's not underestimate the will of the South Koreans either. This is a much different populace than what it was in the early 50's and in a much greater state of technological advancement and preparedness with very powerful allies.

I also think most of those NK submarines are old and not in great shape, at least the majority of them. There's also many reports that their diesel operations are noisy as heck and can be easily detected by Ohio class subs with modern propeller design that have low cavitation - hence almost silent - propulsion. I also believe that most, if not all NK subs out of port are carefully monitored. In 2015, when all 50 NK subs that were out at sea suddenly went missing, they immediately found them all returned to port lol. But I agree, they are a threat, but to a certain extent.

You be surprise that sometimes a big explosion doesn't always be a nuke.

Why would I be surprised about that?

They just want to confirm that it actually is a nuke. And the plane doesn't have to fly over the blast. Thank the wind to push radioactive particles from the nuke blast in the air to the plane.

Makes sense. It just seems much easier said than done, especially when the blast is underground or sea.

Dude, you really know a lot about North Korea , more that many people with China flag but act as brashwashedly as North Korean.

@Gomig-21
This is no easy fish to fry

This is why I was thinking about SK! Although it is true that it has a capable and modern armed forces, it is still vulnerable.. and both the N&S Koreans will be the main victims of a conflict..
North Korea's Threats come always with the US-SK military drills, one can be sure that neither Russia nor China agree with this US presence either..Hence we see Topol like new ICBMs, DF-XXs MRBMs and much more new NK systems.. there was also a BM missile test (NK missiles use solid fuel now), and a promise to do another nuclear test in a time chosen by NK.. it seems it has restrained itself in this regard following China's economic threats..

What type of nuclear weapon?
Never watch that news. Sound fake.
US could have simulate the nuclear test through superpower computer in lab dozens of years ago.
So does China.
Really needn't to do it.

Ah come on. The DRPK is more trustworthy with a nuke than the US? You can't say that with a straight face, ma man. When people bring up Hiroshima and Nagasaki, they forget that the Japanese were the ones who attacked the US first and started that war to continue expanding their Pacific empire. The US was dragged into war with Japan and ended up fighting the Japanese for 4 years before using those 2 nukes. The US Navy was chasing the Japanese off one island to the next including the Philippines and paid a heavy price in Iwo Jima and especially Okinawa. Their next step was either go into Japan and fight another few years or make them surrender with that awful, new weapon. The Japanese were too willing to self destruct and take as many Americans with them because of a similar, crazy, nationalistic pride we're seeing now in the DPRK. The US estimated they would lose another 300K - 600K troops if they went into Japan to fight. Even after the first bomb they gave the Japanese a chance to surrender and they didn't.

Interesting and coincidental part of history is that Douglass MacArthur wanted to use nukes against North Korea in 1952/53 and had a heated argument with Truman about it. Luckily Truman said no and ended up firing MacArthur.

The U.S. had embargoed all oil exports to Japan before the Pearl Harbor attacks ever took place. They had frozen all Japanese assets in the United States in retaliation for the Japanese occupation of French Indo-China. Among other factors in the links below. (ex: U.S. President F.D.R. dislike of the Japanese people)

United States freezes Japanese assets

Ya DPRK is more trustworthy than the U.S.
The U.S. conducted it's first nuke test July 16, 1945 and not even a month later used a nuclear bomb on Japan on August 6, 1945.
North Korea conducted it's first nuke test in 2006 and eleven years later still hasn't used it on another sovereign country.

Japan attacked Pearl Harbor which is a military base killing a majority of military personnel. The U.S. attacked Japanese cities where civilians live, killing a majority of innocent men, women, and children. There is a big difference between a soldier and a civilian. Only a terrorist wouldn't differentiate between a soldier and a civilian.

If the U.S. soldiers didn't want to fight the Japanese soldiers island by island then they shouldn't have signed up for the military or called a stalemate. The U.S. was willing to bomb Japan into extinction. The bombing of the innocent civilians of Hiroshima and Nagasaki is the greatest terrorist act of all time.

Unconfirmed reports that North Korea has just tested a Missile. This is a developing story and will be updated shortly.
