North Korea threatens USA with nuclear attack, then tests Hydrogen bomb

Well obama is a laughingstock of the world, no one takes him seriously along with his red lines

Exactly, I mean, why draw a red line if you can't stop people crossing it night and day?

The sole superpower is no longer able to enforce any of their red lines.

That's an interesting point actually, why would China nuke the US? You know how big our trade surplus is with America?

.
You said as if starting a war is as easy as making an apple pie.
I think someone said something about being a 'keyboard warrior'.

For the 3rd time, China is a developing country with a non-interventionist policy.
BS. Since North Korea is a Chinese puppet state, China DOES HAVE an interventionist policy, just limited.

If North Korea is a Chinese puppet state, then how come Kim Jong-Un fed his pro-China Uncle to the dogs?

Where is the logic?

An internal power struggle is meaningless to China as long as the core relationship between the two remains the same. That is the logic.

There is no logic in what you are saying.

Kim's Uncle was well known for being pro-China. If NK really was our puppet state, Kim's Uncle would be ruling NK, instead of being fed to the dogs.

In fact North Korea ignores everything we tell them, nuclear weapons and the six-party talks being obvious examples. If they are a puppet state then they aren't very good at it.

.
There are 2 reasons why America don't fight NK
1) US got no balls even ISIS they cannot win how they win NK.
2) they learned lesson from first Korean War, this second Korean war the South Korea and Japan will disappear for sure.

North Korea threatens US with nuclear attack | Daily Mail Online

North Korea issues nuclear warning to U.S. - CNN.com

Followed by:

North Korea claims to have successfully tested a hydrogen bomb - USA Today

America is the "world policeman" right? The "sole superpower"? What would your local policeman do, if a local guy threatened to blow up their house (repeatedly), and then tested a bomb in their backyard?

Nothing, apparently?

Is this another famous "red line" drawn by America, like the one in Syria, the South China sea, the Ukraine, etc. which have all been 100% ignored by everyone?

Instead, America likes to ask a developing country (China) to solve their problems for them. Specifically by cutting off the food/water/electricity to North Korea.

Sorry, no. That's basically America asking us to nuke North Korea, since the casualties would be about the same (mass starvation), not to mention sending millions of North Korean refugees over our border. Which is completely unacceptable for us.

You want us to make their government less unstable, guess what happened to Kim Jong-Un's Uncle who was pro-China? That's right, he was fed to the dogs. Sorry, but they do not listen to us, they never have. We have been asking them to reform their country for decades, to come to the six-party talks, to stop destabilizing the peninsula, etc.

Now tell me, what is the point of the USA being the "sole superpower" and the "global policeman" if they can't actually do anything here, and are asking a developing country like China to do it instead?

It's only a matter of time before North Korea develops decent ICBM technology (for example China developed thermonuclear weapons and ICBM's in the 1960's), it's not exactly cutting edge technology. How long will it be until America decides, oh North Korea has been crossing our "red lines" for a decade now, and threatening to nuke us, perhaps it's time to do something?

Whereas Iraq got invaded and they didn't even have WMD. Now there actually is WMD in North Korea, and they are constantly threatening the US with nuclear attack. What is America's response, apart from the usual nothing?

Why? its an opportunity for us.

why would we kill the golden goose that is not only a mad dog to our competitor and a drain on their soft power, but too weak to actually be a credible threat to us and still justifies a large part of our presence and capability build up n the region?

Read the articles where we are sending B-2's, F-22's and nuclear subs to South Korea? You really think those are there only for the Norks?

Frankly China should be pissed that the Norks gave us a better opportunity to retrench.

America was already "retrenching", they've been talking about the "pivot to Asia" for nearly a decade now.

We are pissed at the "Norks" as you say, but it has nothing to do with that.

why would we kill the golden goose that is not only a mad dog to our competitor and a drain on their soft power, but too weak to actually be a credible threat to us and still justifies a large part of our presence and capability build up n the region?

They are weak now, but the longer you wait the more developed their nuclear arsenal will become. That's why action now makes sense, since later there won't even be the option to take action.

In theory of course, since it's clear America never had any intention of upholding their red lines over the Norks.

Let wait and see if US have a balls to do anything to the NK, good luck of playing in China backyard. Remember don't cross the DMZ line, Korean first war said so. ;) Why you so confident that China will sit and watch you playing in China backyard? The South Korea know that their soil will be battlefield games again, Japan will be toasted.

There is no logic in what you are saying.

It is absurd to think that just because many are 'pro-China', they all must get along. As far as China is concerned, as long as NKR remains a Chinese puppet state, who rules is of minor issue.

In fact North Korea ignores everything we tell them, nuclear weapons and the six-party talks being obvious examples. If they are a puppet state then they aren't very good at it.
That is because NKR serves the current purpose of being an annoyance to the rest of Asia and to US. If China wanted to, China could give a hard yank on the leash and NKR will obey.

Looky here...If China is THAT incompetent at running just one puppet state, why not let NKR go and let US handle the merger ? After all, we are the master at handling multiple puppet states, no ?

Well these sorts of opportunities just help it happen faster and reinforces the narrative to other countries, especially south Korea and Japan.

Why would we care? We have the capability to destroy their launch sites before they can launch in case of war, and the eyes on North Korea to know when they do launch. They don't have any real hope of holding out in a nuclear war against the US.

They are weak now, and will remain weak relative to South Korea conventionally in the future. If they lob a nuke, all bets are off and China gets a nice big crisis right on its borders.

lol, why US have to intervene when US does not see this as a threat, you see this as a threat of US but the US don't, and you did not dictate the politic of US, you have no relation to the US politic too.

Again, as I said, the US does not see this as any sort of threat, if you think this is a threat like you say, then you should be doing something, but if you ask me, it's quite honestly useless and empty for you to hide behind this thread and try to imply Obama is gutless, if you think he is gutless, just say it out loud, you will not be the first, nor the last to say it anyway, this is not China, you don't need to watch what you are saying.

I think someone said something about being a 'keyboard warrior'.

He is just trolling, all he want to say is US is gutless to reply to NK empty threat, and I say bring on the nuke. hehe

Shhh, you should let them think we are doing nothing to the North Korean nuke. You know, these Chinese member are quite simple minded and they think if we are not at war, then we are doing absolutely nothing on the situation You should really let them think we are doing nothing on the situation, and we keep on using NK as a pawn to sell arms to SK.

I will ask @WAJsal and @HRK to immediately look into the issue.

So, is that incorrect?

Why does the global policeman and sole superpower run away crying from minor powers like North Korea?

They are making their intent very clear when they are developing hydrogen bombs:

North Korea threatens to 'leave no Americans alive' - The Independent

The global policeman USA already said that they won't let anyone else have nuclear weapons, they even invaded Iraq on the pretense of WMD. So how come they cry about North Korea day and night but don't do anything?

North Korea can't even deliver hydrogen bombs onto American soil (yet), but if you keep waiting and doing nothing they will soon be able to.
