He is a gasbag. All word, no work. Worse, he is the best of the lot. Now imagine.

Meanwhile 800 Hindus have been forced to convert to Islam in Rampur. The suggestion was given by a municipal Dawah giver. :) there is a deafening silence from the seculars. Makes me wonder...are we even considered human beings or worth living?

Which basically is counterproductive, their are ppl in ISCON who do genuine conversions without any fuss, who have spread Hinduism in various countries all Adityanath has contributed is being a counterpart to owaisis.

Those conversions may not be legal as they themselves have alleged it being forced as they faced threat to their homes.

They are legal in UP. And it is counterproductive partly because of our cowardice. He lacks discipline and education. And the educated rarely have the guts to do ghar wapsis.

Awesome. I knew this. We shall begin with banning you. Such hate filled minds and gangsters have no place in any religious place of worship.

Tyranny shall be met with violence, the best way to shut down religious goons is to reply them in their language.

And who is this we that gonna stop me , I doubt you or any religious bigot can stop me, I got a home there and will do the same again if need be, if you personally want to stop me, more than welcome to try.

Looks like Hindus in India are turning into Nazis. Shame.

They are new at it ,will take time although a more logical face is needed.
Very true. But that will take time.

I am not promoting UP gang culture. Hate should be stopped from entering any place of worship. The authorities will do that. Give us some time.

Controversial Bharatiya Janata Party lawmaker Yogi Adityanath has demanded that non-Hindus should be banned from entering Har Ki Pauri, a famous ghat on the banks of Ganga in Haridwar, as they might pose threat to the city.

At a ceremony here at Gorakhnath Akhara on Tuesday, the MP from Gorakhpur said, “Non-Hindus might be a big threat to the security of the holy place hence they must not be allowed to enter the Har Ki Pauri area".

The controversial MP also said he would not allow anything else but Ram temple in Ayodhya. He alleged that Muslims were not interested in resolving the issues pertaining to construction of the temple.

The ruling Congress has objected to Yogi’s statement. State Congress president Kishor Upadhyay said if non-Hindus were a threat to the holy city then Yogi Adityanth himself was a bigger threat than Pakistan.

“Yogi must apologise for his statement since it is an insult to the Devbhoomi,” Upadhyay said.

This is not the first time in recent years that Adityanath has sparked off controversies with his comments.

Last year, he had threatened to go ahead with proposed reconversions or Ghar Wapsi in Uttar Pradesh, triggering a row with political parties seeking his dismissal and Prime Minister Narendra Modi's statement on the issue.

Earlier this month, the Gorakhpur BJP MP had also launched a call subscription campaign for declaring cow as 'Rashtra Mata', claiming his demand "embodies the sentiment of every Indian".

Ridiculous. And how are you going to determine who is Muslim and non-Muslim? If you are worried about security, have security check point - God knows, we don't have enough of those. What's the point of a retarded and unenforceable ban except satisfy some vote banks? I can almost see Owaisi screaming at top of his lungs - asking Hindus to be banned from Qutub Minar and thereby satisfying his own votebank. And even if either of such bans are tried, almost any court will strike it down as unconstitutional.

The same way as Muslims identify non-Muslims when going to Mecca:

It is not a wrong demand you know. But you guys should first do something about the bloody pastors and missionaries who wear fake saffron robes and carry crosses with them cursing your culture and your deities there.

It is quite evident; took my wife when she was expecting our children. Saw a few there. Hindus just ignored them despite them cursing your culture. If this was Vatican or Saudi, they would have been lynched

Well till the police gets to it, it will be taken care of.

Including dumbasses like adityanath.

Meanwhile 800 Hindus have been forced to convert to Islam in Rampur.

Who forced them to convert from Hinduism to Islam ? Muslim clerics refused to convert these Dalits to Islam due to purely economic issues. Show me the proof/reference of your allegations.

Local Islamic scholars and clerics say their wish to convert to prevent a demolition drive is "blackmailing tactics" and "unIslamic".

The row over Dalits threatening conversion to Islam to save their houses against demolition drive by civic body has taken a curious turn.

When Dalit families approached local Islamic scholars and clerics to supervise their alleged conversion, they refused to oblige terming their wish to convert to Islam as “blackmailing tactics” and “unIslamic”.

Most of the clerics told the protesting Dalits that one should convert out of “pure” love for the religion and threats to become a Muslim cannot be used as a “blackmailing tactics” against official action of demolition drive by the civic body
.

The Rampur civic body had, last week, identified 55 houses of Topkhana Valmiki basti, a Dalit settlement, as part of its demolition drive after which the residents had threatened conversion to Islam. What followed since then is high drama as the political parties and Hindutva groups jumped the fray to target Azam Khan, the Samajwadi Party leader from Rampur.

Dalit leaders told The Hindu that they were unable to convert after no Muslim cleric turned up at their area to facilitate their conversion. Kumar Eklavya said that as a symbolic protest they started sporting skull cap.

“We have not been converted yet, as some news papers have reported. No cleric accepted our invitation. Most of them told us that they didn’t approve of what we are doing and decision to convert to Islam should be taken out of sincere likeness of the religion and not to save houses against official action of demolition drive. But we have no option left,” Eklavya told The Hindu on phone from Rampur.

“It’s status quo for now. We will continue with our protest by sporting skull caps,” he added.

The issue became complicated when the dalits who were earlier threatening to convert at “any cost” came under pressure from the Hindutva groups after Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Sadhvi Prachi threatened to mobilise people against the proposed conversion.

The Rampur District Magistrate Chandra Prakash Tripathi made several visits to the locality and assured them that the houses won’t be demolished. But the dalit families said they would postpone their plans to convert only if they get the assurance in writing.

"Those who are using threat to convert, lost their case in the court as well. In Rampur, the majority of those evicted from government lands are Muslims, so there is no point communalising the issue and vitiating the atmosphere of the city,” Azam Khan’s aide Fasahat Ali told The Hindu.

Interestingly, nobody knows the connection between their Dalit’s threats to convert to Islam and saving their houses from demolition. The Dalits claimed that somebody from the civic body told them that their house might be spared if they were to convert to Islam. But when The Hindu tried to verify the claim, civic body officials alleged the dalits were “just trying to blackmail as conversion to Islam will soon snowball into a huge controversy and will pose law and order problem for the administration.”

That's the Hindu reporting - the worst of the lot. To convert you don't need a qazi/maulana - you know that.
Besides, the issue is not that - the issue is of the silence on the enticements given to convert. It's a worrying issue in India where sizeable number of Hindus still live.
