Non-Hindus should not be allowed into Haridwar ghats: Yogi Adityanath

Yes. It makes little sense for everyone to go to that particular ghat which is a special place of worship.
Aah but you want non-muslims to be allowed in to Mecca. Anyways when did the world's "oldest" religion started to become rigid and less accommodative, since I heard from many posters over here about how "tolerant" you are when compared to Abrahamic religions...

To be frank i dont think its any issue because religious places are there for spirituality reasons and this is the reason there are many temples which doesnt allow people from other religions to enter temples.

Then the people who prohibit non-hindus from visiting these temples shouldn't crib over non-muslims not being allowed into Mecca...

I think Yogi Adityanath is clearly pointing towards Muslims and Christians in here.

non hindus do not have automatic right to entry to any hindu structure... like a temple... unless hindus themselves allow it... or its a heritage site..
However we are talking about a public area, not a hindu property/structure.. just like city of mecca.
Which is why such a ban is unthinkable... we are not a fu*king islamic country like KSA.
The guy is a retard.. end of.

I don't see any reason for non Muslims to set foot in Mecca, unless pagans want to recapture it.
I don't want Har Ki Pauri to be off limits to anyone. Just the devotees should be allowed for the Puja timings. Go and chill there any other time.
Plus, we are open to learning. We learn even from you, no matter how distasteful it may be.

Don't worry. I have faith in the revival of Arab neo paganism.

The same way as Muslims identify non-Muslims when going to Mecca:

It is not a wrong demand you know. But you guys should first do something about the bloody pastors and missionaries who wear fake saffron robes and carry crosses with them cursing your culture and your deities there.

It is quite evident; took my wife when she was expecting our children. Saw a few there. Hindus just ignored them despite them cursing your culture. If this was Vatican or Saudi, they would have been lynched

Let's agree to disagree. I think everyone should be allowed in Makkah too. Two wrongs don't make a right. For the record, I know of a Hindu who visited Mecca. Officially too.

Its on the Saudi Authority and they have been people in the past who have visited Mecca.

Does it means that only by allowing in religious places makes one Liberal ? Certain Religious places are for spirituality not for picnic or sight seeing.

Since the day Barbarians started to take our Tolerance as Weak point. We are learning from you how to be Intolerant and less Accommodative, you should welcome that.

We are Hindus not some rabid Abrahamic mullahs for banning wverything. We should maintain our Hindu Civilisation.

Our Tolerance is the real foundation of secularism which has been taken as granted these days.

And regarding being intolerant and less accomodative then i can say its me who is suffering all my life by all this.

We are Hindus not some rabid Abrahamic mullahs for banning wverything. We should maintain our Hindu Civilisation.

Restrictions are being placed on certain religious sites in almost all the religions.

It is not a question of being liberal. It is not for any authority to decide whether a place is spiritual or not. I might visit a place to satiate my historical curiosity or my spiritual need or learn more about a foreign culture. After all, I can go to Rishikesh for spiritual reasons or go there for rafting. It is really not for a Government to decide.

If you want to learn about Islam then you can but its not necassary that you have to go to Mecca for that.

You want to go to Rishikesh for rafting, hashish, picnic and many more things and in the end term it Spiritual , this is the only reason that restrictions should be placed.
