I think this Aleem Khan move has been made after Tareen meeting with Nawaz in London. Nawaz never wanted Pervaiz Elhai to be as CM of Punjab which PPP is hoping for.

Was until IK sidelined Tareen. Now they may announce their own candidate for the CM and even if IK accepts their demand, the new CM won't listen to the center.

Tareen and Aleem group perfectly knows that IK will kick all of them out from the party after Pti tenure ends so they will blackmail IK for the next 1.5 years as much as they can. They even don't care if IK decides to dissolve the national assembly now.

PTI government survived in Punjab because of Tareen
He has failed many attempts at Punjab even after being sidelined
This move by Aleem Khan looks more like a blood letting given his tone was more anti Buzdar than anti Imran and even many other PTI leaders have indicated this

Since country badly needs a stable govt at the center hence it is imperative IK swallows a bitter pill and accepts Tareen group demand since I don't think after this , opposition will have the power to dislodge the PM thru vote of no confidence. The group opposition was relying on was either Pmlq or these naraaz arkaan of Pti in the form of Tareen group. Pmlq and mqm will back IK anyways but Tareen group has gone personnel.
