I've seen a video that someone posted capturing the earthquake; 5 small footages in total, only 3 of which actual scenes from the day. The comments section for that video is filled with people harassing viewers about how much money they are sending and what sacrifices they are doing for Nepal !!

I sympathize with what they are goig through, but their arrogance is unbelievable.

It is rather a norm not to send old clothes while assisting other countries during natural calamities.

ask your fellow srilankas, how many used cloths did they get during the relief operation by india?? many christian missionary had collected used cloths for Tsunami victims in srilanka and in india. it is a great releif for those who don't have any cloths.
and BTW i never saw any country who supplied beef masala as ready to eat food. except pakistan.

This has nothing to do with the Indian government. These consignments of clothes were sent by an NGO.

So why make such an issue out of it and smirk?

nepal did the right thing... it is a matter of self-respect.

and india has a big garments industry, centered in south india... the government can buy up a large consignment of those new clothes and encourage the manufacturers to donate.

No it is not a dry slap...India is a nantion with multiple entities...It is not like if a section of people in India does something wrong then that signignifies Indian establishement would like to do like this way...

Anyway, We will do whatever can be done from ourside, now Nepal knows what is good for them and also we know what is good for us.

What rebuttal ?Humiliation ? Even my brother donated his old baishaki which he used to walk during his recovery from some accident .Its their choice if they want it or not.

The point is with the amount of chest thumping and worse belittling other nations efforts in Nepal by the Indian media in general and most of hyper jingoist posters here have back fired spectacularly.. From this to asking Indian media to feck off by the Nepali's on twitter and elsewhere

Those donations were made by small sized NGO's . GoI don't have anything to do with it. Hence they (GoI) never knew anything about it. But our rescue efforts are still appreciated by Nepalese people and that's what really matters.

Anyway, India is by far the largest contributor of aid and relief to Nepal victims. We are there for long haul to help Nepalese rebuild Nepal again.
