The root is Monotheism. Polytheism branched out from Monotheism. Hinduism also started as monotheistic faith, Lord Krishna/Vishnu neing supreme. Hindus started worshipping disciple Shiva. If you study your oldest religious books purans carefully you will find monotheistic roots.
Islam is clear monotheist religion free from any contamination. Islam does not believe in blind faith, terms those people worst than beasts who are deaf and dumb and dont use reason, ch 8, verse 22.

Aryans are native tribes of Indus valley Civilization and from them only Avatars/Prophets came and have preached worshipping of Supreme Creator.
