Pakistan is making a fool out of India. And Modi.

i am most surprised by modi's pak policy as i was sure his policy would be different then those of Manmohan and vajpayee govt

I have mentioned it on another post recently.

1) GB/North Areas would be merged with Pakistan.
2) Ladakh & Jammu would be merged with India
3) AJK & Kashmir valley would be merged under joint control of both countries. This region would a demilitarized zone with joint owner ship in foreign policy. Single currency is being implemented as part of SAARC and would be the same for this region too

The deal is done but the implementation is tricky as the hawks on both sides would have problems digesting it. Especially for Pakistan which supported non state actors. CPEC is being used the driver to implement so that hawks do not go ballistic on India or US.

Implementation news:

1) India formally objects to CPEC in GB, China asks Pakistan to sort out the issue. Pakistan is merging GB into Pakistan.

2) Kashmir has been given a new flag separate from rest of India

You my good sir, is opening a pandora's box here.. If what you claim can be substantiated even partially beyond those 2 news of flag and GB merger or CPEC asking Pak to sort , will lead to some more clarity from ambiguous position

Just for information, IMHO the CPEC issue is more of international issue of AJK and the whole pathway into Pakistan. I do remember reading some place that China had issues with J&K staple visa for some time before we sorted it out yet Arab countries still give Stapled Visa to AJK ppl (i think Saudi Arabia if i remember).. The CPEC passing through AJK/GB region is widely seen as passing through disputed territory.. Even if tomo such a mega infrastructure development takes place in J&K, the investor will feel jittery as even J&K internationally is a disputed unsolved reason for numerous Wars between India and Pakistan.

But what if your description is turned into reality? A good thought but a common currency will wreak havoc.. look at Euro.. Producers and Consumers both sides struggling.. UK PM Cameron is going for a referendum about exiting Euro in 2016 (if my news items are correct).. I think the SAARC model has already too many flaws in it..

Still i would love to hear and read a detailed analysis form your side.. Pandora's box in true sense.

Anyway, I am disgusted by Modi's soft stance toward Pakistan. He should have continue having NO STANCE at all. Ignoring Pakistan is in our interest. Pestering us is in theirs.

lol i have never been happy by this U turn by govt without any change in ground situation, even die hard critics of modi expected much stronger policy against pakistan and i am no diffrent . India was gaining alot by isolating pak diplomatically and now this sudden stop over in lahore by PM, sushma making a visit to Islamabad. this all is a going to be a historical blunder by the govt. Nah. MMS did a Sharm al Sharif. Something no self respecting Indian leader would. But then I find Modi's overture to NS stupid and idiocy.

There is no deal as there can be no deal. The two sides are oceans apart when it comes to the common ground in Kashmir. In addition any deal on Kashmir will have extremists on both sides frothing but more so in case of Pakistan where Kashmir is a cottage industry. I don't believe " they " will lay off the golden goose.

They will lose their support and will fall if they don't mend their ways. Modi or not, many (like me) will NOT compromise on core issues so cheaply. If Modi thinks we are his sycophants, he is mistaken.
