What's new

No likelihood Pakistan will be included in FATF black list

That would shatter Modi and his RSS media cell completely if true. Remember the Indian media has been playing the FATF drama for years now.
Shattering their media? Nah, for first few days they will talk about how IK's wife have used magic on FATF staffs and how IK used his looks to get his ways, then they will talk about how no country supported Pak, then they will create some fake border drama before moving on to their next fake news about Pak, never doubt their ability to make up fake stories out of thin air

Finally they will say that Abhinandan is a hero.

Carrying on would have been acceptable 20 years ago - todays connected and regulated financial systems make that impossible. Not that Iran and North Korea dont get away with it but that is entirely the choice of those living within it to tolerate those conditions.

As you mentioned, you cannot walk into a decent bank with a checkered reputation with empty pockets to ask for a loan and then bemoan not getting one because you refuse to fix your financial practices.

It is entirely up to Pakistan to decide whether it wants to participate in the international monetary system according to FATF guidelines - or not. After all, both Iran and North Korea seem to be doing okay with relative stability of government and national policies. I am sure Pakistan can do the same if it decides so.

We should know the outcome of the present FATF meeting with regards to Pakistan soon enough in a few days. No major changes are likely IMO.

As far as Desis are concerned; anyone foreign has no right to offer opinions on their society’s issues.
We're an honor-based society. This is expected.
You talk to the same jingoistic people privately and you'll get very different sets of opinions. Without having to worry about people grinning across the border over your criticism of the country, we feel a lot freer to express our opinions.

bakhts holding linghum poja praying pakistna is put in black list!

linghum to screw Pakistan!!

jai siri payye!

So true, i wont take jabs on India, their government may be far more corrupt, but Pakistan has a certain standard, certain class, but the people of this country have destroyed its reputation, things have to change.

Jingoism in public but not in private is more hypocrisy than honor by most standards, and possible only when one does not believe in private what one professes in public.

FATF was formed by its member states (including Pakistan) to set standards and promote effective implementation of legal, regulatory and operational measures for combating money laundering and terrorist financing. There is nothing wrong in what it says Pakistan must do to move out of the grey list and improve it financial system with accountability. Why is it that Pakistan is not meeting its own obligations?

Total BS .... talk about money laundering and there is not a bigger place than England and Canada as hub for money laundering . Infact it is officially protected here. Just one look at down town condo buildings and 30 percent are owned by foreigners and no one knows or cares who. They are driving the boom so no one asks a single question where the money is coming from:
Same goes for Dubai.

Pakistan is of course free to leave FATF if it so decides in view of such grave injustice, if true.

.
It doesn't.

a) I didn't create dark grey list.
b) I don't give a bull about what Indian news channel makes up or not, I don't find it hard to admit that Indian media like most media around the world is now state run and show what the ruling party wants to. It might be difficult for Pakistanis to admit because well everything in Pakistan is daaa besssttt.

So yeah 18th is when we will know Pak's fate.

If they make it to white list, it means they followed the recommendation, a win for India.

If they stay in grey or move to black list. It means the cost will be very high for them till they keep indulging in these activities. Not a win for India but definitely feel better that Pak is paying the price for their ways.

Ok, and do you think the who is on each one of the lists is on merit or based on political issues? E.g. if Pakistan leaves the list or stays in it, is it entirely on merit or because of certain powerful countries pushing buttons?

.
what the hell is DARK GREY list ? are we going to see new Netflix movie ? fifty shades of Black ?
Turkey is going to be in FATF and Pakistan is going to be break in few years. Indian media :rofl::rofl:

.
Does FATF have any task other than "monitoring Pakistan" at the moment. It seems to be a useless organization whose only job is to "monitor" Pakistan's financial transactions/dealing etc. FATF looks to be a pretty much chootiya organization only focused on Pakistan.

they should focus on UK and KSA which is biggest supporters of terrorists organizations.
