to all my bangali brother, look into this man's eyes and honstly tell me if he a rapist and a murderer View attachment 304216
This man is rapist and murderer along with many Pakistani army men during the war. His face is a face of Shaytan who killed so many Bangladeshis in 1971. This heinous criminal should have been tried and executed long ago but he was using Islam weapon to hide his satanic acts.
Trust me many Bangladeshis will distribute sweets once he is hanged. Its a time for celebration.
I don't care. This guy was a founding member of Al-Badr group which did some of the heinous crime in 1971 including but not limited to abduction of 100s of intellectuals in the dead of the night and killed them. By saying so, this current government initiated the trial with an intention of political revenge and to gain brownie points. I think the trial is flawed and the death sentence is unwarranted.
Care to share copy of that agreement ?
The then government promised to not try anyone for war crimes???
Where are you getting all this information from?
In the Tripartite agreement, it was agreed that the 195 army officers will be handed over to Pakistan and the Bengalees in Pakistan, whom Bhutto threatened to on trial, be returned to Bangladesh. Bhutto even promised to try the army officers, condition. Hamidoor Rehman commission was not made for fun and games, it had a purpose.
Also under our collaborators acts 1973 Bangladesh trying the Rajakars and verdicts were given, out sentences carried, unfortunately the process stopped after 1975/1976 by General Zia. For a newspaper and the entire establishment of Pakistan, lying to people should not be a respectable occupation.
I mean, I don't care whatever @iajdani says, Nizami's death penalty is unfair. You need not to as it is not affecting you anyways. Hope your thick head president also come to know that Turkey has nothing to do with it. Stop interfering in another country affairs.
By Ziaur Rahman? Sure?
How about this speech by the then President Mujibur Rahman on 25th January 1975 after passing 4th constitutional amendment
" কোন দেশের ইতিহাসে নাই বিপ্লবের পর বিপ্লবকে বাধা দিয়েছে যারা, শত্রুর সাথে সাথে সহযোগিতা করেছে যারা, যারা এদেশের মানুষকে হত্যা করেছে তাদের কোন দেশে কোন যুগে ক্ষমা করেনাই। কিন্তু আমরা করেছিলাম, সবাইকে করেছিলাম"
Just don't pull Ziaur Rahman in everything. You are lucky that Your country produced a freedom fighter like Zia.
The accused man was the leader of Jamat e Islam Bangladesh. Jamat e Islam is the equivalent of Muslim Brotherhood in Bangladesh. Same ideology with different name. Leaders of the both group have ties among themselves.
I guess AKP falls in the same category and Jamat has links with the AKP leaders also. That is why Erdogan is delivering his verbal support.
Turkey is brotherly nation. And Bangladesh Govt will behave like they haven't heard anything about Erdogan's remark.
Win Win for everyone.
Both sides committed 'atrocities'; but only one side is getting punished - not fair at all. Millions of Bihari are stranded and denied Bangladeshi citizenship just because they held a more sympathetic view of Pakistan - even though most of them werent even alive when the war began. There are many Bihari and Bangladeshis in Pakistan who received free land; the elders echo the stories of gruesome and cruel atrocities committed by the Indians and the MB. There was one old man who told me about how his village was burnt and his parents hacked to death after they found a wounded Pakistani soldier in one of their homes.
Bangladeshis tend to think the MB and Indians were sinless angels - who did nothing wrong and everything right. In that war; no one was an angel.
oh, the sultan of islamic world has spoken.... or is it imam? the guy does not understand he is pis*ing off everybody in every country and hurting turkey's relation with every country he talks about. Just shut up, do quiet diplomacy.
