Nizami’s death penalty not fair governance: Erdoğan

I don't hold you accountable, this is PDF, i've yet to meet a fellow like you here

It is not very usual that I find someone can match me and even correct me on questions of history, and this was a most unusual experience.

Having said that, I must tell you that some of the Bangladeshis are immensely well read about our local history (I am of Bangladeshi descent myself), and so are people such as a couple of youngsters from so-called Azad Kashmir, who came up with a wealth of information about the happenings in Jammu province at the time of partition, not to mention @WAJsal who comes, wretched lucky worm, from the most beautiful part of the sub-continent, and knew a great deal about, again, the events around the time of partition. I am writing a book on an historical subject, and both the accounts will feature prominently in it.

There are some Indians who believe that we would have done very well if Subhash Bose had been leading the country instead of Nehru when we became independent. Bose's programme was so close to that of Ataturk, who, of course, was very well known and respected and admired by that time, that it sometimes raises suspicion among some of us who were not schooled properly to show reverence to our elders and betters that he might have, erm, been 'inspired' more than we suspect by Ataturk. He wanted a period of military dictatorship and enforced modernisation before handing the rule back to democrats and parties. Who knows what might have happened? We might have had a south Asian Turkey.

I mention this not because I admire Bose or think that this might have been good for us, for that is speculation, and worthless, but just to tell you that there are many pro-Modi, pro-Hindutva types who unconsciously are cheering on the principles and intentions of Ataturk, without realising that they are contradicting themselves in a huge way.

Not everyone who opines are well versed in their opinions. But feel free to inform me or send me the draft of your works, i'd be more than happy to take a look. Perhaps i'll stumble upon details of interest for both uf os. I'm writing my master's thesis in a Scandinavian university right now on Gallipoli, in memory studies, within the field of history. We are looking at the commemoration culture of 25th April Anzac Day and 18 March Canakkale naval victory, from the perspectives of Australia and Turkey, the instrumentalization of history, memory and certain victories/defeats in nation-building efforts, especially by politicians.

Shame on Erdogan for siding with a notorious al-badar criminal.Nobody asked his opinion regarding this. But he has a habit of siding with muslim war criminal from whatever countries they came from.It is the case with BD and it was the case with Sudan's wanted Omar Bashir.Seems like he is the godfather of muslim war criminals.Sensible Turks should put a dirty socks to his big mouth for the sake of maintaining good relation between BD and Turkey.

what about terrorist of Mukti Bhani,s getting training from RAW??

Diplomatic protests carry weight when they are done against - in your perspective - insignificant countries.
Now if US or Russia or China were to send diplomatic protests against Bangladesh, these sentences would not be carried out, they would be converted to life sentence or some such because per you these are countries less significant than yours.

Now, why do you think it is happening that Pakistan and Turkey are complaining for so long and yet it has made no iota of difference.

For example, when we disapproved of something that was happening in Nepal, we backed it up by action and the Nepal Govt had to change its course of action. When we had an issue with Sri Lanka buying Pakistani jets, our diplomatic protest led to Sri Lanka dropping its plan to buy Pakistani jets.

Do you see a pattern here?

And for the record, Bangladesh is an important country, a valued partner and its presence a positive for the World. In fact all our(India's) neighbours barring Pakistan are significant and partners in progress for a better South Asia.

Unlike Indians, Pakistanis never claimed to be a supapawa.

Haha...hold your horses kid, come back when Nepal actually does what indian bully says or when sri lanka actually buys indian junks...until then stfu.

. .
You are being disingenuous.
This was a group that was trained to kill to order, and did so. The man was tried for heading that group, and for
providing leadership to a gang of assassins.
Trial by whom? Do you seriously think that ICT(international war crime tribunals) had no political influences/interfere from Awami League governemnt and adhered international standards of a fair trial and due process and there was not any procedure flaws at any stage of trail?

Turkey did something we should have done in the first place. Respect Erdogan!

Please research before you talk..
Nepal has already done what India wanted.

Sri Lanka actually dropped buying Pakistani jets. Whether or not they buy Indian ones is irrelevant because Indian jets are not even ready.

And try to be a man and not hide behind such words as 'supapawa' or what ever it is. Government of India disliked something in our neighbourhood, we had it changed. Unlike Pakistan who has been able to do nothing.

Look at it this way: they got far fairer treatment and their legal defence was far more than their victims got. They selectively picked out intellectuals and butchered them.

Crime took place which is true and the degree of involvement of a particular person should be thoroughly investigated and benefit of doubt should be entertained. Sayeedis, witness was abducted from court premise and ended up in Kolkata prison does not suggest a fair trial taking place in this country. Till this day not a single witness undoubtedly said that they saw those foot soldiers (they were that time) ever fired a single shot on their own or even carry a gun.

@Horus @Oscar we are not discussing indian relations. But this guy keep trolling.

@singa don't prove yourself to be a retard. World don't read what indian media post cuz that is for gullible 90% katju's described indians.

Many nations planned and then changed their mind and srilanka is one of the. No proof they did it on Indian demands.

Again you haven't changed anything. You just act like a chaploos and acheive peanuts.

Your logic is as flawed as this trail.
Why India did not made war crimes tribunal after 1947 against those people who committed heinous crimes against humanity and butchered Muslims at the time of partition just for wanting freedom from India and joining Pakistan ?

No war. No war crimes tribunal. These were civil disturbances.

Incidentally, it seems to have escaped your eagle eye that Pakistan also did nothing against those people who committed heinous crimes against humanity and butchered non-Muslims at the time of partition just for wanting freedom in India and not wanting to join Pakistan.

Not one of your better posts, Kaku.

These were not foot-soldiers with clean hands; none of the foot-soldiers were sitting in back rooms operating drones by remote control. Foot-soldiers were in the thick of things. And there is something called complicity.

.
Cool story Erdogan.

How about stopping the killings of innocent Muslims in Syria first?
