Nimoo-Bazgo project: Pakistan to take dam dispute to world court

It is called global warming and we must work together for the sake of the glaciers there needs to be a joint effort to protect them which includes China.

What really concerns us is the Indian ability to stop our water at will and India has been playing water games for a few years now. She restricts water flow when our crops require water and releases large chunks of water when our crops do not require water....often she causes or helps deteriorate flooding in Pakistan by releasing even more water.

Our growing concern is that Pakistan may be forced to go to war over this issue, it's senseless things like this that force us to dislike India especially at a time when we should be looking to solve our outstanding difference, instead India finds paths to create even more conflicts.

100 % Bull ****

here you go, your award "Biggest BS post of the day"

Indians trolling in unison again. I'm sure we can do something about the water flow.

How reasonable you are...... "it's all the fault of those pesky Indians.......we would have loved them like we did for the last 60 years if they hadn't started to build dams now...."

How I wish I could believe all of the above. I don't ! Hence the dam & support for it will continue. If Pakistan feels it has a case, go to court. Don't expect us to believe your rubbish of how India is only building this to turn Pakistan into a desert etc. If you want joint monitoring of the dams, work with the Indian government on this. Merely yelling from roof tops will get you nowhere.

should have thought about geography during partition mate...its just 64 years too late....

re the bolded part, it may not be exaggeration to say that we are waiting for that opportunity to finish this issue once and for all.

Ayub Khan's regime who signed the Indus water Treaty says India has all right to build "Run of the River Dam" for Hydroelectric production. That's why your governments all attempts to stop Baglihar Dam was futile and World Bank supported India in this regard. Yes, you can go for the war, going for the war means cancelling the treaty means good for India only.

And anyway, tell me how this war going to help help you. Dam will remain intact even you attack India and declare ceasefire in 2 weeks just like 1965 war. :girl_wacko:

If we are going to die of thirst or lack of crop because of India, why not attack and destroy as much of India as possible in the process? Why die alone?

You are getting water and don't stop us from producing electricity, if you will attack Indian dams then you guys are violating Indus water Treaty and World Will back us in that case. Didn't you see how your claims on Baglihar Dam was dumped in Dustbin by World Bank, Baglihar Dam still exist.

And you will face thirst for water not because of India but your own population explosion, soon you guys going to overtake Indonesia and will become World's largest Muslim country. And in your country you guys waste 35% water of Indus River and Sindhi, KP and Punjab often fight in the name of Sharing water, why you blame India for all these.

We have built or construction going on for following Dams which is according to Indus Water Treaty, let Pakistanis cry foul, they will all exist and will produce electricity, any act of Aggression by Pakistan is violation of Indus water Treaty, which says India has all right to Construct "Run of the River Dams" on Western River.

Baglihar Dam on the Chenab River in the southern Doda district
Dulhasti Hydroelectric Project on the Chenab River in the Kishtwar district
Salal Hydroelectric Project on the Chenab River
Kirthai Dam on Chenab River
Sawalkot Dam on Chenab River
Pakal-Dul Dam on Chenab River
Uri Hydroelectric Project - I & II on the Jhelum River near Uri in the Baramula district
Nimoo Bazgo Project at village Alchi
Dumkhar Hydroelectric Dam Project on Leh- Khalsi Batalik road
Chutak on River Suru
Kishanganga Hydroelectric Plant, under construction, on the Kishanganga River
Bursar Dam on Marusudar River in Doda District

Let see if Pakistanis have courage to violate Indus Water Treaty and bomb this Dams.

You do realize that Kashmir is the source of important rivers? Technically Kashmir should have belonged to Pakistan as per partition rules so my friend we did think of geography.

"Partition rules" did not apply to princely states..and if you were so eager to make Kashmir a part of Pakistan ..probably you should not have invaded it.

Q How many Babur Missiles it takes to solve the problem ?

A None , it will probably break due to poor cement in 1-2 years
