I guess the first sortie by NAF JF-17 Thunders was after all flown by PAF pilots.

It is probably due to the fact that all four of their pilots trained in Pakistan were at the ceremony instead.

They were there to test fly JF-17 after it's re-assembling in Nigeria.

Some pilots like to wear their previous squadron patch, the guy is in panthers..check his chest patch. You will find an instructor flying T-37 wearing an F16 or Mirage patch,this is common in air forces. Even you will find some folks wearing exchange patches from different air forces.

Edit : He's an engineer,not a pilot.
