NIGERIAN AIR FORCE CHIEF CONFIRMS EXPECTED JF-17 DELIVERIES

In all honesty the Pilots also would need ample time to get trained on Jet craft , it is always best to move slowly from Super Mushak , K-8 platform and then transition to a high performance Jet like JF17 Thunder

  • Senegal is certainly a very under developed airforce

Frankly Senegal does not need JF-17; for the just handful of trainers from props to light LIFT is good enough. There is no threat that deems need for Jf-17.

Maybe they are preparing for the future rather than the now

Who knows what the future holds snd what the risks are.

With the thunder they have a reliable multirole platform from a reliable friendly source with no strings attached, a platform that is only getting better which Senegal multiple options

Bro deal will be signed in few months , they are buying 4 Thunders !

If a LIFT cost 12-14 million and jf cost fly away 16 million a piece or in this case little more due to low. Number of order the af may be templated to go for it Lift May be the b model as well they may not Order bvr or other pricy weapons along with it

No worries, just stating the obvious. Better for PAC :)

Yes true, but again i state, Senegal has been in a very fortunate position in every way to be stable and neighbouring states are part of overall fabric; the lines in the entire continent are drawn up by colonial powers which has split same people across these lines.

Thunder evolving with the passage of time which enables it to tap new markets. Block 3 will create more attractions from new customers resulting in increased foreign sale.

only that they have been involved in gambia but nothing else
i still believe every country if they can afford should operate a single sq of jet fighters for variety of roles
going through that logic it doesnt even require an army or gunships etc

now they can opt for water down version of jf-17
