Next War Between Pakistan and India? End Result?

If cold start remained in Place , we cannot rule out a preemptive Nuclear strike on India.

Cold start enables Indian forces to start a massive offensive against Pakistan and capture as much ground as they can before we could respond them.

In such a scenario it would be one Bloody war and Millions will die.

PS: Lets not hope for such a stupid war but work for peace that we all can live in prosperity and peace rather than fighting like Idiots.

Pakistan (or any other Nation including India) will not have the guts to resort to a nuclear strike, unless it reaches a situation of existential threat. Because Pakistan will know the response will be as brutal and will lay waste both the countries.

I agree that lets not hope for that kind of a fight and focus on growing our own countires economically and socially. There is too much to be done within our borders than to look out..

On the subject of nuclear war there some critical areas that need to be considered.

Weather patterns and time of year. He who gets the fallout laughs least.

delivery systems. How effective are ABM systems (near future) or one sides air force in preventing delivery.

Space- rural vs urban populations, population size, urban density, number of major ports, distance from where the attack originates.

Target selection- city busting vs targeted strikes on key targets like industry and government, FOB attack etc.

Weapon type- fission, boosted fission, thermonuclear, salted, sub 25kt, sub 50kt, sub 100kt, sub 250kt, 250kt-1mt, 1mt+....

Forex reserves and credit access.

Internal cohesion

International patrons

In most of these Pakistan comes up well short. She seems to enjoy a lead in the number of devices and types of devices as well as international patrons but is much less able to deliver them or deal with the effects of an Indian strike. Heck even her own weapons would have radioactive blowback on Pakistan with most of the prevailing winds blowing east to west for much of the year.

Pakistan faces the following challenges in any nuclear war scenario.

Her Mirage bombers are outclassed by the IAF and Pakistan's F-16's might not be up to the task of escorting them.

Much smaller land mass with a highly urbanized population

Only one major port and an extremely narrow middle. This would make international efforts to get relief to the interior very difficult compounding post-war problems like starvation, medical care, winterization etc. A nucelar war would probably crush India for decades, but Pakistan would effectively cease to exist.

Guys since the discussion is already going on, i would like experts to reply to my question. Please don't troll because this is just a question not to hurt anybody.

See my scenario is this:

Since India and Israel (Russia also could be included since we have secret pacts with them) have lot of high tech satellites which can watch through clouds even, can they map the exact locations of all the nuclear installations and missile silos of Pakistan and then launch cruise missiles striking them to negate the nuclear threat. By this India will be out of the nuclear overhang. If a novice like me could think of such an action wouldn't the military personnel already would have thought of this??

They are watching. Its not just their satellites, its some other countries as well. Everything is being done to locate as many sites as possible. Counter measures will also be taken, false sites erected, counter intel. Lots being done on both sides to pin point hot sites.

I doubt even that, the risks are too great. They are a symbol of national prestige nothing more.

if nukes kept side then there is no match between two countries.
we are well ahead of Pak in terms of war technologies, India has better conventional weapons (better air force , navy), more over our satellites will be monitoring Pak's every move during war time.

Well most of the Missiles are Built with GPS navigation system, but do you think that GPS assistance would be provided when the situation arises?? I doubt... So delivery of nuke weapons and Striking it precisely requires navigation....

but In a few years India will be Independent from GPS and would be launching its own Indian Regional Navigational Satellite System, And Even Before that India partnering Russia would launch GLONASS , and India will launch 2 Russian GLONASS Satellites....

So No matter who has more nukes and More powerful Nukes, One needs to have Assurance that They would be of help when needed and Deliver it precisely.... Wont they??

if u see the current military capacity of the both country,u will find pakistan is not able to attack on india,if they ever attack on india the result will be same like Kargil war,it's mean loss of thousands of life. but result can be more dangerous bcoz after kargil war India expands it's defensive power not attacking power. so i don't think so this time pak can capture our some territory, but may be in result of pak attack,india can attack on pak and this time we will able to capture some district of pak and we will be put pressure on pak....
however some member can question here what about nukes? i think pak will never use nukes bcoz if they do it,it's mean they will surely loose the war...

Member should be pray that their should be no war B/W India-Pakistan.
