I am not a big fan of overly stressing the concept of "Han", or identity of any ethnic group for that matter. I would prefer to use "Putonghua" in place of "Han Yu". We are all "Zhongguoren"/Chinese.

Putonghua is more used in China, "the common speech", instead of Han Yu, the language of Han.
Officially, Zhong Wen is also preferred, "the China language"....
For example, CCTV4 is called Zhongwen International channel.

I had military training in junior middle school, high school, and college.
Now children have more!
We are still in contact with our officers!
