We already have many Women Universities & Hospitals named after Fatima Ali Jinnah

I am all for honoring a martyr but nobody names airport as bahadur airport. Also airports are supposed to be comforting for travelers not intimidate them the moment they land with names and pictures of army personnel. There is a place for everything. We already have army museum in Lahore for all that. Majority of the airports around the world promote local culture and tourism and that's how it should be.

Best name would have been Gandhara International Airport (given the location of the airport) and the fact that it would boost our tourism profile as well. Pakistan can strongly improve its soft power abroad by emphasizing its diverse culture and history. Still I suppose I should be happy it has not been named Hazrat Nawaz International Airport or Azeem Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto International Airport.

it is not history of punjab where this airport is located.... countries usually name things after things that are meaningful to them, since you support this naming place show me how gandhara is your history? or you hindu ancestors? maybe an airport in peshawar should be named gandhara..

Gandhara civilisation reflects our robust history and diversity. We are not buddhists but our ancestors accepted islam and before that they were not muslims. Islam came before 1400 years and before that no one atleast our ancestors were not muslims so what are you to do about that deny your ancestry or blood line because they were hindu,buddhist,zorasstrian or christian.
