Microwave links.. so dont expect anything faster than your usual GPRS.. however, that is all that you need..
Video is not part of the equation.. and the data that needs to be sent has more than sufficient BW available to it.

doesnt this demand a higher bandwidth...bcz I know the poor performance of Google earth on GPRS when compared to wifi

bespoke purpose built systems work better on same bandwidth and specs. compared to geralized public domain systems which are made to work acriss various platforms wnd always have matching issues and loss of performance along the pipeline.

Only the last part needs a link..

I have a lot of respect for the other party
Santro, Correct me if I am wrong, CARE developed the IBFMS and also the AL on AK ? . ( I know I am right )

Anyway, message being,
the group of people who initiated and did this development are truly role models in each and every aspect of their work and lives.
It was really a privilege to be their student and then work with them.

I would encourage the young lot to dig up details on CARE and follow these people.

Heck even Dr Qadeer could learn a thing of two from this lot.
