Many many times BD Ministers are visiting India but i never heard that they meet Indian PM as a courtesy meeting. last time Asaduzzaman Kamal, Amir Hossain Amu they are also not meet Indian PM. But if anybody came from India if they are third grade rank despite of that our PM meet them as a courtesy meeting.

Indian army chief Gen Bipin Rawat met President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban in Dhaka on Saturday.




Gen Rawat came to Dhaka on a three-day trip at the invitation of Bangladesh army chief Gen Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Huq on Friday.

Hamid praised India as Bangladesh’s friendly neighbour and said relations between the two countries are wonderful, the president’s Press Secretary Md Joynal Abedin told the media after the meeting.

“The president also expressed his gratitude for the support the Indian army and civilians extended to Bangladesh during our Liberation War.”

Hamid also expressed his opinion that bilateral exchange between the military forces could play an important role in developing professional skills and stressed that much could be gained from the exchange of technology and training.

“The Indian army chief said relations between the Bangladeshi and Indian armies are fantastic and friendship will grow even stronger through these high-level visits,” Abedin said.

Gen Rawat also hoped that cooperation between the two armies could be extended through training and exchange.
