plz tell me they can produce thier own guns or this sh it is imported from west.

disgusting pricks, they were building a very good military truck years back then it came to stop. this truck was robust and even looked better than the west ones.

I don't agree with use of language but that is the harsh brutal truth.

As for gun we need better assault rifles both for Armed Forces and Police
And most importantly better Generals to command those valiant soldiers whose put their lives on stake to protect the country. Meanwhile a couple of Generals sell the whole country out to the foreign powers through backdoor deals. So who betrays the blood of the martyrs then?

As long as those rifle bullets put holes into the adversaries, our soldiers would fight like there's no tomorrow! But still we should focus more on the gear of infantry soldiers and provide them with more better protected APCs, IFVs and MRAAPs. No troop on the Frontlines should be traveling in Toyota Hilux or flatbed trucks. Give them NVGs, Better rifle optics, thermal sights and surveillance drones in the backpack.

My 2 cents are to just stop the courses from UK and US. They do have a benefit, but we don't want to give our army's future leaders a chance, to essentially sell their souls to America.

(Yes, this is the Farhan Ullah from Twitter)

People still don’t understand the fact that the AK47 is still a good rifle, even when compared to modern weaponry.

That is why minor tweaks of the AK can still make it a viable option for weaponry for the Pak military

I would add another change on top of it. Prohibit any Govt official of grade 20 or above from sending his family/kids (as students) abroad or establishing a business there and would have to live his whole life in Pakistan even after the retirement. Only a true Pakistani should be promoted to high ranking offices or get an early retirement and bugger off. Effectively living life without any need for passport. Can only travel to Saudi Arabia for religious pilgrimage only that too with limited amount of money and all his assets in Pakistan frozen till his return and would be escorted by Pakistani embassy undercover agents all along.
Same rule can be applied on MNAs, Senators and all Cabinet members. Any Pakistani expat joining the cabinet for certain reasons, wouldn't be allowed to go back along with his family for at least 5 years after his retirement from that post.

When Trump imposed ban on PA officers training in US along with the suspension of CSF funds. Their establishment protested that we would soon loose track of future PA high ranking officers then and it would have bad impact on US interests. They have a whole template of personally befriending our military officers and then making a comprehensive file full deep insights of each and every PA officer profile for future referencing. That's how they know our military from inside out.

AK's have inferior accuracy and 5.56 NATO has superior ballistic trajectory in medium range than 7.62x39. So 7.62x39 rifle mounted with some decent optics could be at a disadvantage there.

With just Iron sights and within 100/200 meters AK reigns supreme.

It is indeed. He wants to be placed back in the driving seat again.

You do realise we have think tanks at GHQ who formulate policy and advice generals on what happens next. Our fabric depends on our defence unfortunately. Sometimes army has to take unpopular decisions for the greater good.

Political leaning aside we should focus on economy. Changes will come with time.

While India is developing and deploying their homegrown APCs, IFVs,SAMs and a whole fleet of helicopters and we are licking boots of the foreign powers to provide us their systems!

In coming years, Indian infantry troop would have better mobility, light armor and gunship support than our poor lads thrust into Toyota Hilux and cloth covered trucks. PA might even have to borrow some Honda Civics from the DHA for troops mobility in case of war.😜

In simple words build a homegrown solution for rifles, advanced ATGMs, light armor and helicopters. Can even win some export orders from that too.
