taiwan is moving further and further away from the agenda. It's obviously still important, but the focus militarily has obviously shifted to South and East China sea.

While Taiwan is not an after thought, it is no longer the primary objective. Extending our influence far from our shores is. Notice the word FAR.

With the current Chinese economy and development it will be about 20 years when Taiwan either joins in or remain isolated in China's backyard, with no access to world organizations, which China will dominate.

Bhutan and India relations are very close . You won't understand. We haven't occupied them and won't until they agree to join us.

They are a willing protectorate of India.

India's days of interference in Sri Lanka are long gone until you are still living in the 1980s.

We understand very well what india did in Sikkim and doing in Bhutan. Bhutan is NO protectorate as indians wish it to be. Bhutan did not change the treaty with india to be protectorate. By the way protectorate is a colonial mindset that india could not come out of. India blatantly hijacked Bhutan election using oil embargo as tool so that initiative to have relation with China can be throttled. That is how much insecure india feels.

India has so many independent movements boiling over decades yet indians seeing dream of "protectorate", that is just funny. Hope China step in and start supplying Bhutan with Oil. That will end indian hijacking and bullying game in Bhutan.

Of course Bhutan is an integral part of India. Very soon Tibet too will be another integral part of India.

???? - ??

Not interested in Tibet. They are just our good, peaceful neighbours :)

Just do a simple Google search on India's relations with Bhutan and our influence over their defence, foreign policy and
commerce, all with their full willingness and co-operation.

I won't spoon feed you.

We don't care about morality. Only stupids do.

Arthashastra - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Is there any other book that talks so openly about when using violence is justified? When assassinating an enemy is useful? When killing domestic opponents is wise? How one uses secret agents? When one needs to sacrifice one's own secret agent? How the king can use women and children as spies and even assassins? When a nation should violate a treaty and invade its neighbor? Kautilya — and to my knowledge only Kautilya — addresses all those questions. In what cases must a king spy on his own people? How should a king test his ministers, even his own family members, to see if they are worthy of trust? When must a king kill a prince, his own son, who is heir to the throne? How does one protect a king from poison? What precautions must a king take against assassination by one's own wife? When is it appropriate to arrest a troublemaker on suspicion alone? When is torture justified? At some point, every reader wonders: Is there not one question that Kautilya found immoral, too terrible to ask in a book? No, not one. And this is what brings a frightful chill. But this is also why Kautilya was the first great, unrelenting political realist.

I can say that Indians are the most hardcore political realists. They don't delude themselves like the Chinese.

India will have to invade and occupy Tibet at some point or other. Because India will have to bring the rivers sources under its control. It does not matter whether one is interested or not, India will be forced to invade and occupy Tibet if you understand how important it is for any state to secure strategic natural resources.

The Hindi Chini Bhai Bhai melodrama has no future.

We have more than enough resources and rivers to run our country. Tibet has nothing that we are in dire need of.
