Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah

Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the man who founded Pakistan, is easily held in the highest regard in the country for his fight for a separate state and for his famous motto, ‘Unity, Faith, Discipline’. With his leadership skills and dapper style, Jinnah was without a doubt Pakistan’s greatest politician. He died in 1948, while supervising the setting up of refugee camps after Partition.

Responsible for penning the popular song Saare Jahaan Se Achcha, Allama Iqbal is one of the most prolific writers in Urdu literature, with literary work in both the Urdu and Persian languages. Iqbal was honoured by King George V and was given the title of ‘Sir’. “Nations are born in the hearts of poets, they prosper and die in the hands of politicians,” a truth only Iqbal could have penned.

Malala

On 10 October 2014, 17-year-old Malala made Pakistanis across the globe proud when she became the youngest person ever to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. An activist for girls’ education in the Swat Valley, Malala was shot by the Taliban in October 2012 when they raided her school bus. She survived and went on to become a global peace icon and education activist. ”If you go anywhere, even paradise, you will miss your home,” said Malala after moving abroad in fear of her life. Let us hope Malala can one day return to her paradise.

Imran Khan

Pakistan’s triumph at the 1992 Cricket World Cup is perhaps the fondest memory of every Pakistani who was there to live it. Imran Khan, who led his team to victory, was hailed as the country’s greatest sporting hero at the age of 39. Khan took the winning wicket himself and brought joy that still lingers for an entire nation.

Peshawar Attack

The world looked on in horror as over 130 children were massacred by ruthless terrorists in an attack on Peshawar’s Army Public School on December 16, 2014. It shook our nation like never before, never had we witnessed something more tragic in our history. We will forever be grateful to them for reminding us that something needed to change because we as a nation had failed to protect our own future.

Nice.. It's always important to highlight the national identity and move to build a socially aware and humanistic society.

I've also always been a fan of the minimalistic style. Marko Manev's designs and posters are a must see for Comic fans and other's with similar interests.

Remove Malala .... a traitor should not be among the list of heroes.

malala don't deserve to be in the list, she is no more a pakistani, she lives in britian.

I do have some reservations about Malala being in the list but despite all our hatred towards her, she is youngest nobel prize holder in the world. She is in this list just because of that.

Besides, I posted the list as it was originally printed.

Peshawar ,peshawar attack, aps, school, blood.. how can i forget.

Why hatred towards the girl ? All she ever did was getting shot, right ?

So who killed him???
And who took over after him???

From another article:

According to the documents, the United States wanted to get contracts of oil resources in Iran. Pakistan and Iran enjoyed cordial ties and Afghanistan used to be an enemy of Pakistan during 1950-51. The neighbouring Afghanistan was the only country that did not accept Pakistan at that time.

The US demanded Pakistan use its influence in Tehran and persuade it to transfer control of its oil fields to the US.

Liaquat Ali Khan declined to accede to the request, saying he would not use his friendship for dishonest purposes and not interfere in personal affairs of Iran.

On which, then US President Harry Truman had threatened to Liaquat Ali Khan. Not only that, Liaquat Ali Khan also demanded that the US vacate air bases in Pakistan, dropping a bombshell on Americans.

Following the development, American started search of murderer for assassinating Khan. They did not find a suitable person in Pakistan and then turned to Afghanistan for this purpose, according to the documents.

Washington contacted the US Embassy in Kabul, offering Zahir Shah to search an assassin for Khan and in return they will ensure Pashtoonistan’s freedom.

Why hatred towards the girl ? All she ever did was getting shot, right ?

right and now lives in another country, in the name of working for your own country, on the pretext of not being secure.
