NEVER TO HAPPEN

Dr. Shahid Masood in his talk show on 01 February 2016 stated that a Federal Secretary the other day did not appear in the Court in a Contempt case. The Honourable Judge remarked that in case he did not appear again (next hearing) there was enough space in Adila Jail. Enough space had always been and would always be but only for down trodden, for example like Hyderabad’s 8-10 years old who stole “Atta”. For the one whom the above warning was issued, the whole clan of that category is very powerful than “anyone else”. For example a few years back a Joint Secretary was sentenced on contempt case and was ordered to be taken to jail. His counterparts who are actually the defecto rulers namely the bureaucratic brethren took him direct to his bungalow declaring it a sub-jail. If Nawaz Sharif’s attack on court was “contempt on face” as late Aredshir Cowasjee termed, the above by bureaucrat-brethren was a naked “slap on helpless face”.
