Nephew of Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi killed in Bandipora encounter, DGP confirms

Srinagar: Abu Musaib, nephew of Mumbai attack mastermind Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi was killed in Hajin area of Bandipora on Thursday.

According to reports, the militant killed in the gunfight is nephew of Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi, the mastermind of 2008 Mumbai attacks. Lakhvi was granted bail by a Pakistani court in 2014, a day after 130 children were killed in an attack in Peshawar.

Director General of Police, SP Vaid while talking to The Kashmir Monitor said that initial reports suggest that he is the nephew of Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi.
