Negociations with Egypt for ADIK's LCT and LST

Newly elected President of Egypt, H.E Muhammet Mürsi realized one of his first official state visits to Turkey.

H.E Muhammet Mürsi, who is the first democratically elected president of Egypt, attended the Justice & Development Party (AK Parti) General Meeting on September 30th 2012 in Ankara and delivered a speech. H.E President Mürsi then visited Turkish – Egyptian Business Forum organized by TOBB (Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey) and addressed to the Turkish and Egyptian businessmen / businesswomen.

ANADOLU Shipyard has held intense negotiations with Egyptian Armament Authority during the year as we have offered both our LCT and LST designs to satisfy the amphibious operation requirements of the Egyptian Army and Navy. Therefore Chairman of the Shipyard Mr. M.Faruk ÜRKMEZ and CEO Ertuğ Yaşar attended this important meeting with HE President Mürsi.

Mr. Ürkmez and Mr. Yaşar was joined at this meeting by the representatives of ASELSAN and HAVELSAN; both companies of Turkish Armed Forces Foundation and key partners of ANADOLU Shipyard for both LCT and LST projects.

HAVELSAN was represented by General Manager Mr. Sadık Yamaç and by Vice General Manager Serdar Müldür.
ASELSAN was represented by Mr. Suat Bengür, Director for Marine Systems.

During the meeting, H.E Minister of Economy Mr. Zafer Çağlayan has presented to H.E President Mürsi a working note about the projects offered by ANADOLU Shipyard to Egyptian Navy and kindly asked his support for the projects.

BTW, Egypt is the wellknown costumer of Yonca-Onuk ShipYArd Fasst Attack Boats called MRTP-20 (75 knots)

If I am not wrong, Turkish navy sent a LCT (C-151) to Sea Of Friendship (Bahr El Sadaka) naval exercise conducted with Egyptian navy (7 to 14 October 2012) in order to show performance of ADIK's ship.
