Other day I was watching Azizi show collection and I find this clip, it was recorded last year June and compare now the situation get more worst.
We already had low law and order problems with bribery and corruption in every single field, a lot of killings coz of road accidents, religious difference etc.
Court orders released of a political party workers but police refused it's order! A leader himself release his workers from police custody, A molvie sahib showing anger to said his followers to write down on state currency, Hundi karo mean fight with state, politicians using police for their interests the list go on.........
What you guys think are we already a banana republic or heading towards

We have particular accept Army which running properly? We have any institution which running under the laws?

oops I forget to mention the fresh PIA story, that's another example of taking situation in our own hands be it politicians
or passengers.

The term banana republic is used to describe a nation who is controlled by external powers through puppet govts. The govt is kept in power no matter what, given money, arms, troops etc by the external powers. In exchange for that they are allowed to literally loot that nation off all it's resources for example like banana plantations ( south american countries used for growing bananas).

I dont think the term is right as Pakistan's resources are not being looted by any country.

The police defied a court order ? That isn't good

I highly doubt that Pakistan is a "banana republic". There remains an independent judiciary and a respected separation of powers. Those cops who defied the court order need to have their rears kicked. If needed, the military should have stepped in to enforce the court order.

Don't you think so that we almost run by external powers like USA and Saudis?
