Bro i am from lahore and as much as i hate PML-N but ground reality is PLM-N has done more development work in lahore than any other party has done in past (this can be debated on how they allocated most of provincial development fund for 1 city) and my own relative was contesting municipality elections from PTI seat in Lahore which he lost because it's hard to explain what PTI is doing (improved exports. new industries, current account deficit blah blah) to an average citizen than just telling we built these roads, metro, orange line etc.

Why are you presenting peoples ignorance as PTI's fault.
If only they knew how the train was financed and how much dent it is going to leave every year on government to run and maintain it. That Metros are complete and utter failures. Instead a comprehensive bus system should have been included.
A country where they still allow highly dangerous vehicles as public transport, has no right to claim progress.
Look at the buses in any city of Pakistan, it is shameful that in 21st century, we have such crap still running around the roads creating pollution and in-dangering lives.

PMLN has no ideological or Ethnicity-based vote bank in Central Punjab. PMLN generally is a group of local opportunists, and beneficiaries of a corrupt system, managed by Mafia bosses (Sharifs) based in provincial capital, Lahore. These electable thugs are voted in by the people of their respective areas as they exert significant influence over local Thaana/Kachehri. This Thaana/Kachehri culture is what needs to change

Biradari-based voting does exist in Punjab but it is mostly limited to the local body elections. Provincial and Federal Assembly constituencies are generally too large and diverse (multi-biradari) for this factor to play any significant role.

even when the voter turn out is 35%, the election commission makes sure that 120% of votes (they can even force the dead to vote) are cast pro rata in accordance with the deals by the leaders of both parties + diesel the Imam (win and lose on a rotating basis at the party level and according to the amount of monetary contribution at the individual level)

To win, a candidate needs a ticket of a major political party and support of one (of the usually two) Dharra. That's why 'Ticket Distribution' (esp. in Punjab) is a cardinal consideration. PTI has successfully replaced PPP as an alternate top level Dharra in Punjab but they are struggling with the Ticket Distribution.

The voting behaviour of Punjab is influenced by its local culture. The psychological attachment of a voter to a particular political party is almost non-existent (in rural areas esp). Ethnicity does NOT determine voting behaviour in Punjab. People cast their votes only to survive as a group, there is no concept of political fidelity among voters (and even many candidates). You won't come across a single person in rural Punjab telling you that he votes for PMLN as the leadership is Punjabi. Kashmiris/Butts are the only group here who vote for PMLN due to the Kashmiri ethnicity of Sharif family.
