parsis are a dying breed in India due to their sexist policy of removing girls( who marry outside the community) from the community... I doubt the govt inducement to make more babies will help unless they import pure parsi blood from iran.

I think it's unfair to call her just an Indian citizen and not an Indian. She was born in India to French parents and she could have easily opted for French citizenship if I'm not mistaken. But she didn't. She's much more an Indian than someone like Akshay Kumar who voluntarily gave up Indian citizenship in 2010(while living and working in India) and now acts like he's the biggest patriot in India despite having a Canadian passport.

It's not fair I agree. The concept of blood and it's mixing in the womb is what prompts it I guess. Not so for men.

While earlier the mixed blood progeny of Parsi men were invested into the faith by the Navjote ceremony, it's getting less and less now.

Vsdoc probably converted and became Hindu.

I doubt that.. If I understood him correctly, pure blood parsis are at the top of the class hierarchy, then hindu upper caste, then hindu lower caste followed by muslims...
