Not sure about that!! But one thing is for sure there is no secuirty pact between SCO allies unlike NATO allies.

You forgot the main factor of strength: the GNP.

NATO: 32 trillion (2010)
SCO: 10.6 trillion (2012)

GNP means nothing. The US has more debt than its GNP.

Security pact or not, doesn't seem to make any difference to me. SCO countries are friends and they have collective defense through UNSC.

All of members of the SCO (except China) were members of the USSR. I hope they are friends.

The big question is why are not ALL of the former Soviet Republics "friends".

The Russian speaking ones are friends. Belarus is because Belarus official language is Russian. Ukraine is not because Ukraine official language is Ukrainian. Baltics are not because their official languages are not Russian. Kazakhstan is because Kazakhstan official language is Russian.

Belarus is not yet a member of SCO, but it is a member of the new Eurasian Union and could join SCO during the next summit.

Actually, Russian is the primary language spoken in Belarus and Kazakhstan.

Pretty much. China and Russia are 2 of the top 3 superpowers. Since they are neighbors, might as well be friends

Heck, China + Russia are bigger than NATO in terms of area.

It's a decision taken at Wales summit mate. Deployment of a high readiness force at the Russian borderlines with NATO members.

I dont think that one day China can sanction Turkey. But I surely agree that it'll surpass EU and America at near future.

And why would Turkey represent the Middle East & North Africa? Apart from ottoman rule/ religion in some areas, Turks have nothing in common with those people. How can Turkey represent Iran for instance, and how is that fair?
Same with Brasil. You will let the only Portuguese country in America represent all the Spanish countries?
The world is not that united as you would like to see.
