According to unconfirmed sources the total number of martyrs are 22 ( incl 2 offrs ) and 35 are injured in this attack. Nato airforce started poundering the area at mid night and destroyed 2 posts of Pakistan army with gun ship helicopters and jets and it continued uptill morning

The incident comes a day after Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani met Commander of Coalition Forces in Afghanistan General Allen Jones to discuss measures of enhancing border control on both sides.

US and Pakistan will work together same excuse after few incidents.

If NATO has done some mistake it has to come out clean and take action against those responsible to show that it is serious in this effort.

Likewise the Pakistani Army and Govt should unequivocally condemn this action and put some diplomatic pressure on Americans by talking to friends like China and Saudi and any other possible means.

25 PAK SOLDIERS MARTYRED In NATO AIR STRIKE

At least 25 Pak troops martyred and 15 injured in a NATO air strike near Pak-Afghan border.


NATO helicopters from Afghanistan carried out an "unprovoked" attack on a Pakistani border post, killing at least twenty five troops Saturday, the military said.

"ISAF/NATO helicopters carried out unprovoked and indiscriminate firing on a Pakistani checkpost in Mohmand agency last night. Casualties have been reported. However details are coming," a military spokesman said.

Security officials in the Mohmand tribal region near the Afghan border and a military official in Peshawar said twnty five troops including a major were killed in the pre-dawn incident.

They said the attack took place on the Sala checkpost in the Baizai district of the rugged tribal terrain. "The firing left seven soldiers and one major dead," a local intelligence official said. ISPR has confirmed the casualties.

Instead of co-operating more & more with Pakistan, it seems NATO want to break the ties, and this could be it.

Buddy practically it is not possible, as the USA never will extradite their army personnel. If those belong to some other countries in NATO also it is highly unlikely as they would like court marshal them, themselves.

Right now the main point that Pakistan has to make is that it will not take this kind of $hit any more.

Sadly whatever the actions and reactions on this incident, those twenty precious lives cannot be restored. What an irony.
