KABUL: An Afghan official says an airstrike by US-led forces has killed four policemen and two civilians in eastern Afghanistan.

The official said on Thursday that the airstrike occurred the day before as Nato troops and Taliban militants were fighting about 10 kilometers (six miles) away from an Afghan police checkpoint in the Deh Yak district of Ghazni province.

District chief Fazel Ahmad Toolwak says the two civilians killed were brothers who were in a car that was being searched by police at the checkpoint.

The coalition says it is looking into the report

I must admit drone attacks are "acts of terror" & war crimes. Completely illegal by any international law as the dead are victims of 'pre-emptive strike" without any access to court or right to prove if they are innocent or guilty !

Why do so many civilians end being targeted by this 'professional' NATO with guided missiles? And of course it's always led by the US Air Force which seems to be consistently killing civilians. Can someone else do these air strikes besides them?
