Yes, Bangla is the national language but you would be unhappy to that Bangla language is like orphan child in Bd. High court, supreme court, secretariat use English over bangla. Rich and elite class send their kid to English medium school. Kids in gulshan dhaka talk bangla with accent while English as their mother taung. Those speak bangalish consider smarter than those speak perfect Bangla. A graduate only knowing bangla will be side line by one with English when comes to get a job.

By the way, I speak Bangla along with Urdu, English and some Arabic.

I think Urdu is better language because it appeal to more people and it doesn't connect with any particular ethnic group in SA. It belong to all muslim in SA because it was developed by the muslim for the muslim. Knowing urdu enable one to communicate with SA muslim in a brotherly manner something that Bangla or Punjabi unable to deliver. I am an Engineer thus I give more importance to practical and accuracy.

No by the people republic of Bangladesh. Senitment, nationalism, culture, land scape, taste and other social factor has been changed. Many people pundering about this so referndum should take place and let people decide how they would like to move the country forward. I am almost possitive that most people will be for the favor of change which may go againist India.

I was told by my muslim brother from India that Indian Hindu doesn't consider as indian as Hindu. Now you have proved his allegation.
By the way, I visit Bd every couple of year during Eid-ul-adha. I am going this year. You are welcome to visit me. You can get to taste some beef kabab and magoj. What say
