And how is US/ Canadian funding? I have not searched much in it but last I heard they are not easy either....

I was actually suggesting EU as their funding is open for everyone and not just EU citizens...

Funding is very generous for PhD, rarely anyone does it without funding. It includes full tuition fees waiver and a monthly stipend ranging from $1500-2500 per month.

I am getting same here + travel grants which includes reimbursement of visa fee + tickets and accommodation...

Oh wait dont get me wrong...the reimbursements for travel grants are totally research related...they dont pay me to visit my family
