I have been reading Anton Tchekov's works of late, and I keep wondering why I didn't read the guy before.

Though Emile Zola remains one of my favorite authors. I can'texplain it, but I can read for hours, his books. Germinal especially.

Yeah I don't really got as much time to come to pdf, my old line of work involved computers so that is why I used to pop up more often. I've been here a few times but just done some reading pretty much.

The study you have posted about Chinese genetic study only highlights commonalities, a common gene found between Chinese north and south do not necessarily mean they are same ethnic group. You lack the knowledge or you are some what confused.

Chinese are not single ethnic group and the han majority is a false theory.

No, it was the study you posted said that Cantonese and other southern Han are the result of northern Han moving south and marrying the native women, which is why southern and northern Han share the same Y chromosome (inherited from the father) but different mtdna (inherited from the mother). The studies explicitly stated that the Han ethnic group spread from north to south in that manner. Cantonese is even closer to ancient Chinese languages like Old and Middle Chinese than Mandarin.

You then read the study, had a brain fart and got excited and claimed that northern and southern Han are totally different.

Han has also been used to describe the ethnic group way before the CCP existed, there goes your dumb theory that the CCP is making it up. The Qing, Ming, Song, Liao, and other dynasties have been using Han to describe ethnic Chinese before the CCP ever existed.

We know why Indians feel insecure, northern Indians look down on dravidians from the south, Bal Thackery hating Biharis etc. so you try to export your insecurity.

I actually have a Byron collection along with Tennyson. Time to open those.

Though if you asked me who my absolute favorites are, I have to go into Malayalam literature. Because those are the earliest ones I read.

@Dillinger. Speaking of Malayalam literature, I have trouble explaining even to my fellow Indians from another region why I like them.

Especially the ones about the ones that effectively capture how Keralites have to go to 'gelf' countries leaving their family behind. Little things like worrying about your suspected infidelity about your wife.

Or the Wife living in luxury but denied marital bliss.

Or the hypocrisy of our society that supports socialism and this socialism has effectively driven away these youngsters to other countries.
