Narendra Modi pitches Ahmedabad for 2024 Olympics, to submit plan to IOC

Let's hope it is not going to be anything like the 2010 commenwealth games in Delhi, we all know how that went. Shambles.

. .
Ahmedabad has one of the best infrastructure in India. New city called GIFT city is coming up nicely near Ahmedabad. Lets see. Let the most deserving city win! Let the judges pick fairly.

By the way, any idea when they announce the name of the city they choose?

Usually in 2 years time.. 2017

.
1st we should get 10 gold medals. Then we can start thinking about it.

So you are a Brit who migrated to Bangladesh? That is according to your flags.

.
Will be nice to see India finish in the top 3 atleast when we host it.

.

India is the least athletic nation in the world compared with it's population and talent pool.. It will take a demographic miracle if it can top 10 let alone top 3.. India is not even top 5 in Asia

.
It will be great opportunity fir Indian Muslims to remember and educate the world and show the bloody clothes to IOC meetings, distribute photos and videos of Muslim genocide in Gujarat by Hindutva lunatics headed by Modi.
Yes they must shut down their businesses and forgo the opportunity to make a killing ( not in a genocidal way) about an incident that happend 2 decades ago, which the whole world missed out on despite a decade of relentless efforts and hard work put in by everyone in India who hated him.

Pitch in some BIMARU state or forget about it.

My flags are actually messed up, when I innitially applied for an account on this website, i didn't understand what the flags really ment, so I just randomnly did whatever. Now I know, I don't bother with it, I cant be asked to change it. I'm too lazy. I'm actually a British Bangladeshi by the way, parents immigrated to the UK (England specifically) and I was born here. My current residence, somewhere in Surrey, England, UK. :D hope that makes sense.

Ok.. Good to be optimistic but should he get ahead of himself ? CWG was a disaster, Would IOC members be convinced to give India a chance ? Dont think so

If IOC needs to be convinced, that can be done by us. The point is not that, it is the limited utility that this will bring to us right now in comparison to the many other uses we can put the money to.

.
Nice initiative, the revenue and Euphoria generated by this event can be used to uplift sports in India !

Maybe.. But then you have to consider the other contenders.. It's not a one horse race and given the history India will start the bid with a handicap.. A organization like IOC will not keep any chance for failure

And yes i'd agree.. Priorities should be elsewhere but i would'nt want to wade in to that subject since thats a internal issue for India.. My point view is solely on the bid for the games

For one moment I was like.... yippieee! Olympics!!! Corruption scandals of common wealth games would be a thing of past.
And then came the realisation that Modi was pitching for Ahmedabad. Seriously?
