Well whether India did or didn't do a favor for the CWG committee does not matter to the IOC, What they look at is the record and the capability for the bidding nation to host the worlds biggest sporting event.. And for them the CWG failure is a grave matter

You cant even compare Cricket tourneys to Olympics ,mate.. Be serious.. 10 nation global minority sport to 139 nation worlds biggest sporting event.. You cant even fathom it let alone compare.. You gotta be kidding there.. I live in a city what many considers one of the epicenters of global sport, A venue for some of the biggest annual sporting events ATP tour, Grand Prix, Grand Prix Tennis, Footy ,Rugby Union, Rugby League, NRL, Swimming and Cricket events comes way way behind in magnitude.. You have no idea

Actually no. The Olympics is trying to be relevant too. 1 billion people getting excited about it will be their dream, probably among the few ways in which the can revive their relevance in the 21st century. Sure they'll want greater guarantees in in comparison to CWG. But the idea that this is a one way street and India is somehow begging them as they lord over this is an inane idea. They have great advantages working with us too, and so will India when we really have the intention to do this. Then we will find ways to work things out. Till then, let this remain in the domain of other countries.

Explain in what way CWG (Delhi) was a failure. All the alleged corruption charges are our internal matter and has nothing to do with the level of success of the event.

we need a "professional" city like Delhi n Bangalore to host Olympics not a city like Ahmedabad (Amdavad )

why modi want to waste my fathers (Tax) Money ?

it usually takes 6 to 8 yes to build simple flyover in Gujarat and he want to make GIFT in Amdavad in 8 yrs.....

Nobody was talking about corruption charges.. Yes it is a internal matter for India.. What was not is the sub standard Infrastructure, Failing deadlines, leading international athletes not participating owing to substandard issues, sanitation issues and numerous other reasons

Now these scandals broke out even before the CWG started so pls spare me reports of the organizers claiming it was a success.. Or this agenda of western media to target India.. And how wonderful the closing ceremony was.. Cos the damage was already done even before it started

Why don't use that on sportsmen who can win some medals in Olympics instead of hosting Olympic...
In Haryana we don't have good facilities for Exercise and Practice sports that well and not in other states too

yes there were issues during preparation and if you recall, Pakistanis on-line where encouraging India while UK, Aussies etc were mocking India .

Lets be fair, the infrastructure of the stadiums were up to the mark & so were the accommodation given to all the athletes and staff . I still remember how one athlete even commended on his accommodation being better as he got a comfortable room all for himself while he had to share his room with others during the previous CWG.

glad you found out
entire western / white press was performing yellow journalism and that was just not on
it was a unanimous Pakistani population and leaders decision to stand with Indians.

we just didnt like their condescending remarks by their correspondents who were mischievously showing Indian WC's of the workers camp and claiming these were facilities for visiting athletes

so news sites , programs, and forums were full of supporting comments by Pakistanis and we knew once the games kick off everything will be forgotten
