Please look at the map where Arakan is. This is nowhere near Indian border states but is adjacent to the Southern tip of Bangladesh territory. Rakhine = Arakan.

INS Vikrant was supposing that the BSF would fight either Arakan Army or Myanmar Army in case the fighting "spilled over the border" and to have the BSF stay 'vigilant'.

I doubt the BSF even patrols that border area but in any case leave this as it is off topic.

Everything is not about India and Indians.

Arakan was an independent country before 1834. Burma attacked and annexed it by force. Before that, Burma did similar things in the early 1400s. They expelled the King and installed his nephew on the throne.

The King fled to Gaud/ Bengal and the Sultanate of Bengal reinstated him in 1430. Many Muslims from Bengal, mostly Turkic, settled in Arakan. But, this war is not by the Muslims. It is by the Buddhist Arakanese.

By the way, our Chittagong was also a part of Arakan in those days. Northern Arakan.

Now, who are the rebels in Arakan? Certainly not the Arakanese themselves. They are the patriots.
