The history of all countries do not resemble each other. Even in these days, new states are born out of old ones.
However, when we read historical accounts, it is only a few pages in the books when the accounts unraveled actually through a century.
Today’s geopolitical changes look very long to us. But, this history will be written in only a few paragraphs after a few decades.
Arakan was a Kingdom separate from both Bengal and Burma. But, the status quo was broken only in 1834 by the Burmese.
Today’s Arakanese want to remedy it and want to be their own masters.
